Gingerbread Cocoa House Christmas Tags

Happy crafty Sunday Scrapping Cottage friends! Melinda here with another fun, cute project featuring some of the fabulous dies from the 1st Release of Christmas! Here's a look at what I created.

They feature the adorable Gingerbread Cocoa House die. It is one of the new dies in this season's 1st Christmas Die release. Now is the perfect time to pick them up! They are 30% off and they are terrific! They will make your holiday crafty projects look fabulous! The two tags are approximately 3.5" wide by 4.5" high.

I started by cutting out my dies with white cardstock. I like to do this so I can color my pieces in. Here is a photo of my coloring in progress. I bought some economy markers on Amazon for coloring. They are a budget friendly alcohol marker set and do the job just fine.

Here's a look at the Gingerbread Cocoa House
as it is assembled. It doesn't have any glitter, drops or puffy paint yet.

Here's a look at the first tag. It turned out so sweet. I layered the focal die cut piece onto a scalloped tag shape I created. I then used some brown sparkly ribbon for a bow up top.

Here's a look at the tag base. I created it and then cut it out of some white cardstock, red cardstock and then out of some patterned paper I created.

For this one I layered the cute little Gingerbread Cocoa House
piece onto the Scalloped Stitched Eyelet square die. I also cutout a piece of pink cardstock. I then used a variety of my Stickles to give all the little pieces some sparkle. I also used just a bit of puffy paint on the dollops of snow above the windows and on the handle. For the chocolate I used some of my Nuvo Clear Drops

Here's a look at the second tag. For this one, I once again started with a tag base. I used the same pieces of cardstock for the base. I then used the largest die from the Nested Stitched Doily Set die cut. I cut out a circle from the polka dot paper I created and printed out. I then layered the cute die piece onto the circle mat.
I also added the Stitched Scallop Rectangle, with the Double Stitched Rectangle Set to the top of that. I will write the person's name on there one I get ready to give them their gift.

Have Yourself a Cozy Little Christmas

Hello!  This is Sukie sharing a project for my guest designer post.  I have a fun project idea to add a personalized touch to those holiday gifts.
I started my project by cutting out the pieces from the Ugly But Cute Sweater die set.  I cut the tag with white card stock from the Nested Stitched Scallop Rectangle Set.
I dressed up my tags by adding a colored reinforcement punched with the We R Memory Keepers Hole Reinforcer Punch.  The cheery sentiment is from the Scrappy Moms (retired) "A Holiday to Remember" stamp set.  The tags were topped off with some Frosted Cranberry Trendy Twine.
The die cut sweaters were put together with bright, colorful card stock.  I ended up creating three different sweaters combining the elements from this die set, the possibilities are endless.  The pop of colors is perfect against the basic white tag.
These tags will be perfect for adorning holiday gifts.  The handcrafted touch will be great for personalizing those packages.
Here are the dies I used on my tags available over at Cottage Cutz:

Christmas Pocket Page Letter Tags/Giveaway

Hello everyone, Cheryl here today ,and I'm sharing a CottageCutz Pocket Page(Using the NEW CottageCutz Christmas dies) , but instead of notes, these are Christmas Tags to put on gifts :) I thought it would be a neat way to give them. You can make a bunch and put them in a binder, or a small binder in smaller pages, and give as a gift for Christmas :) SUPER FUN!!!!

My tags were cut 3 x 4 and corners rounded with 1/4" corner rounder. I picked my paper 1st then cut each piece and placed it where I wanted it. Next I picked out TONS of CottageCutz Christmas Dies and placed them where I thought I would like them to be. Next I did all my cutting for each tag. Then colored them all up :)

Nativity Angel Christmas Tag

Good Morning Scrapping Cottage Friends!

Angelica here, and today I have a sweet and fun way to use the soon-to-be-released Cottage Cutz Christmas dies from The Scrapping Cottage!

I have so many awesome ideas for these Nativity characters, especially since my 3 1/2 year old daughter is starting to really enjoy Bible stories, learning about Christmas, and why we celebrate it.

The first idea I'll be showcasing from this Nativity Angel set is a gift tag that has limitless possibilities! I took the die cut angel and colored her with Copic markers. I loved that she was just the perfect size for this small, arched tag.

I went ahead and cut out two tag shapes - one in a pink cardstock and the other in a transparent vellum. I stamped a music background stamp over the vellum in Memento London Fog ink. I wanted the music to be noticeable - but subtle, so grey ink was the perfect choice.

I finished the tag off in pretty Lemondrop and Blossom twine.

Have you seen this sweet die yet? It's being released soon, and you can still get it at  great pre-order price!

Here are all the dies in the release - I LOVE them all!!!

I hope you enjoyed today's project and you're inspired to go out and create your own Cottage Cutz tags! They give SO much life and dimension to a regular ol' gift tag! :)

Card and Tags

For my post this week I wanted to do something different to my usual layouts, so I decided to make a card and some tags.
For the “We Have Moved” announcement card I have used the adorable COTTAGE CUTZ HOUSE die. I loved making this little house so much that I cut it out in 4 different colours and am planning on making a row of houses to use as a border for a scrapbook layout.
When making this card I also used the GO KREATE ‘NORTON’ ALPHABET, QUICKUTZ TREES BORDER CC-BDR-018, QUICKUTZ ROCKS KS-0439, QUICKUTZ SIGN RS-0265, QUICKUTZ EXCLUSIVE PRINCESS CARRIAGE C-0118-D-REV and some TIM HOLTZ DISTRESS INKS.

Earlier in the year I altered a mini wooden crate giving it a ‘Farm’ theme – very similar to the theme that I have used for these tags. I was very happy with the way the crate turned out, so I have made 3 matching tags to be used in a layout when I have found the perfect photos to compliment them.

To make these tags I inked with TIM HOLTZ DISTRESS INKS and used the following dies:-
QUICKUTZ GRASS BORDER,
QUICKUTZ MUSHROOMS,
QUICKUTZ PUMPKIN,
QUICKUTZ FLOWERS,
SIZZIX ORIGINALS ROOSTER,
SIZZIX ORIGINALS FENCE,
QUICKUTZ EXCLUSIVE PRINCESS CARRIAGE.

I also needed a big Chunky Tag die, which I don’t have, So my friend was kind enough to lend me her large SIZZIX SUPER SCALLOP TAG die – Thanks Julie :-)
I think I need to find one of these large Tag dies for myself or a very simular alternative because the size is fantastic.

St. Patrick's Day Tag

Here's a fun idea for a tag. I turned the Shamrock into a balloon and I used the Pilgrim costume for the clothes on my Leprechaun Rev paper doll for something different. I love all the different costumes sets for the paper dolls! It gives you so many different possibilities! His hair and beard are cut from the Popcorn die.
