Theme Your Cake Shoppe And Use it All Year Long!

Hi everyone! My name is Linh and I'm honored and excited to be here as a guest designer. I have a new video up on the CottageCutz YouTube Channel. In this video, I'll show you how I took the Cake Shoppe from the new Sweet Treat release and combined it with the Spooky Camper set to create two different cards. The Cake Shoppe is super versatile and can be themed so you can use it all year long.

For both cards, I die cut from solid color cardstock. It's a great way to use up all your scraps and saves you from having to color little pieces. For the smaller pieces, I used a glue pen to apply adhesive. This allows you to get glue precisely where you want it.  I like to die cut a lot of elements so I can mix and match and have a lot of choices when I go to create my card. I had so many leftover pieces, I made a second card!

This first card is a Halloween themed cake shoppe.

This card converts the cake shoppe to a haunted house.

On this second card, I used some of the Cake Shoppe elements differently.  The small windows and front porch step I used as bricks. The greenery in the pots I used as bushes. And I combined more of the Spooky Camper elements to complete my haunted house.  I had so much fun tucking all the spooky elements here and there. I especially love the cat that's hiding behind the pumpkin. :)

Sweet Baby

Hello Scrapping Cottage Friends

It is Pam sharing a creative design today!

Just for your info we have one more day of our amazing Black Friday Sale.  And believe me you do not want to miss these fantastic prices.  Today, I am using the little baby zebra from our new Safari Release.  And I am really loving how versatile these dies are.  Everything from birthdays to babies!

Designer Steps:

1.  Use a white A2 card base and cut a piece of polka dot card stock 4 x 5 1/4.  Using the Stitched Heart die second from the largest cut out a heart positioned as shown.  Next using the same heart die cut out a piece of star DP.
2.  Stamp the star heart with the word welcome.  Glue the blue polka dot paper to the A2 white card base.  Then fill in the heart with the star DP heart
3.  Next cut out 3 sets of letters using the Stitched Alphabet die.  Stack and glue the letters together with the star DP on the top
4.  Using the Safari Zebra die cut out the animal using grey, white and black card stock
5.  Put together the zebra with glue that has a fine tip for easy and accurate glue placement

6.  Pop the zebra up on the right side of the heart.  Glue the BABY letters below as shown.  Stamp the word sweet in black ink and layer onto blue polka dot designer paper.  Pop it above the word baby.  Last I added a little banner using the Spooky Camper die.  I cut it in white and colored with Copics and finally added two rhinestones to the bows

Happy Halloween

Hi!

It's Anja here. I have another Halloween card for you today. This time I made a scene from a haunted house. I combined bits and pieces from some of the Halloween release dies.

For this card I used:

- Cottage Cutz dies (Spell Books & Potions, Spooky Ghost & Crow, Slime Cupcake, Spooky Witch House, Spooky Camper),

- Distress Inks,

- craft card base (15x15 cm),

- white card stock for die cuts and background (13,3x13,3 cm),

- black card stock for die cuts (14,2x14,2 cm),

- craft card stock for background,

- embossing folder (bricks),

- background stamp (wood),

- paper trimmer,

- paper glue.

First I cut and colored all the bottles, books and the candle.

Next I cut and colored all the pumpkins and other small pieces.

Then I started on the background. First I trimmed the paper.

Next I embossed the bricks. I tapped some color directly to the folder and put it through the cutting machine. Then I colored the edges with grey and black. I trimmed the wooden parts from the craft card stock and stamped it. I again colored around the edges to give it more dimension.

And when I had all the pieces ready I arranged the card together. And this is the final result.

Hope you liked the card. I wish you all a pleasant Sunday and see you again tomorrow for another project.

Have fun.

Anja Z.

It's a Halloween Party!

Happy Friday Cottage Cutz fans!  It's Jeanne today and I have a fun card using dies from the new Halloween release.  Someone in this camper is having a party and I think they left their cauldron outside!

I started by die cutting the camper, cauldron, ghosts and bats from the Spooky Camper and the Spooky Witch House dies.  These two are perfectly sized to coordinate with each other.  I used various colors of cardstock and shaded only the fire by using a sponge and orange ink.

I cut the trees in black from a Christmas die (think outside the box when using your dies!)  The Merry Christmas w/Deer Family die.

For the background I used a pre-printed card from a card kit that I received this summer.  The cards are all night skies - perfect for Halloween cards!

The ground is a piece a black cardstock cut to 2 1/8 x 4 1/4 inches.

I glued the ground leaving the top edge open so I could slip in the trees.  Then I glued this down and added the sentiment from Halloween Phrase and More.

I adhered the camper and added the cauldron using foam dots to pop it up from the card.

I think my favorite part of this card is the kitty in the door window.  Although she's from the Spooky Witch House die she fits just perfect in the camper window!

Happy Halloween

Hello!  This is Sukie and today I'm switching it up to share a Halloween card.  There are so many new holiday dies in the store which are sure to fit any creative style!  I'm showcasing several of them on this slimline card!

I cut out the adorable warlock gnomes with the cauldron, pumpkin and cat from card stock.  I used patterned card stock for their outfits.  All of the accessories are from the Spooky Camper die set.
The 4x9 card panel was blended with Oxide Inks and splattered with water.  The color combination reminded me of candy corn which is perfect for Halloween.  I hand cut a grass border and adhered it along the bottom of my card.  The card panel was then lightly splattered with a bit of ink.
The warlock gnomes were placed on the grassy hill with their accessories.  The detailed die cuts are just amazing.
The final gnome was placed on the other end of my card.  The scary black cat is creeping along the bottom edge of my card as the ghost floats above.
No Halloween scene can be complete without a couple of sweet pumpkins.  The twin pumpkins filled in the empty space between the gnomes with another ghost above.
A simple Happy Halloween sentiment was stamped on a hand cut flag.  The font on the sentiment adds to this spooky card.  A few of the tiny bats were added as a finishing touch.
Here are the die sets used on my card, available in the store:
