Happy Retirement

Hi! It's Janja here with you today.
All the dies from gardening release are great for making a wide variety of cards for men. My card is for retirement.

- CottageCutz dies: Gardening Tools, Lawn mower, Gardening Hat & Gloves, Shelf w/ Plants
- blank card: 4 1/4 "x 5 1/2" (10,8 x 14 cm), folded
- patterned paper: 3 1/2 "x 4 3/4" (9 x 12 cm)
- different colors of cardstock
- embossing folder – lumber
- different colors of ink pads
- glue, double-sided adhesive tape, self-adhesive foam pads

Cut out garden tools, a lawn mower, a shelf and a garden hat from colored cardstock. Shade all the pieces with colored ink pads.
I shortened the garden hat with scissors.

Trim the selected patterned paper to the size of the card base. Also cut out two rectangles. Stamp sentiment on a white strip.

For greater effect, I embossed wood-patterned paper with a 3D folder and shaded the edges with ink.

Paste the background to the front of the card with double-sided adhesive tape. Attach the other elements with self-adhesive pads and glue.

Thank you for stopping by.
Janja

Cacti in pots

Hi, Janja here!

The warm and sunny weather today is a great opportunity to share with you two cards with cacti.

I used:
- white card base: 5.3 x 5.3" (13,5 x 13,5 cm), folded
- watercolor paper: 4.5 x 4.5" (11,4 x 11,4 cm)
- colored cardstock
- Distress ink pads: mustard seed, wild honey, twisted citron, evergreen bough, cracked pistachio, aged mahogany, hickory smoke, vintage photo, walnut stain
- string
- plastic stencil
- self-adhesive pads, double-sided adhesive tape, glue

On the first card, spray watercolor paper in two colors, add a string and stamp an inscription. Cut out two cacti, and attach them on the background with self-adhesive pads.

For the second card, use a plastic stencil for the background. Cut out the shelf and place the cups on it. Add an inscription. Complete the card.

The new Mother's Day release is available in the online store. The dies are on sale at 25% off.

Have a nice day.

Window Shelf with Plants

Hi!

It's Anja again. We're having holidays here in Slovenia and it's so good to have a few days off of work. I'm actually going on a vacation for a few days to get some much needed rest and get some new energy that will hopefully last till summer :)

I made a card today, using Shelf w/ Plants die from a Llamas & Botanical release. But you should also go and check the new Mother's day release that's already available in the store and you can get it for 25 % off. I'm still waiting for mine to arrive and I look forward to use it in my next project.

For this card I used:
- Cottage Cutz dies (Shelf w/ Plant, Springtime Window),
- Distress Oxides (Vintage Photo, Tattered Rose, Worn Lipstick, Squeezed Lemonade, Forest Moss, Wild Honey, Evergreen Bough, Gathered Twigs, Peeled Paint, Black Soot, Walnut Stain, Aged Mahogany, Wilted Violet, Seedless Preserves),
- craft card base (15x15 cm),
- white cards stock for background (14x14 cm) and die cuts,
- embossing folder (bricks),
- adhesive foam pads,
- pen,
- scissors,
- paper glue.

First I die cut the window and colored it with Distress Oxides. I put adhesive foam pads to the left and right side of the open window to add dimension.

I cut the shape of the window with scissors. I glued the window on top, so when you look through the window it looks like the wall in smooth.

Then I cut and colored the shelf and the plants. I also used adhesive foam pads to glue it in front of the window.

I cut white card stock for the background and embossed it with embossing folder. I used Distress Oxide Vintage Photo for the edges.

When I had everything cut and colored I just glued the pieces on craft card stock. And this is my finished card.

Have a nice Sunday and I'll be back in a week.
Anja Z.
