Holiday Card With A Pocket

Hi!

It's Anja here. Hope you had a good time during the holidays. I had a few days off work and it was so nice to spend it at home not doing much.

But I took some time for crafting. One of the projects was this cute holiday card I did for a gift. It my give you an idea as a gift card holder.

For this card I used:
- Cottage Cutz dies (Moose Pulling Gnome Sled, Holiday Corners, Santa Over Christmas Town, Peeker Pocket, Nested Wacky Stitched Square Set),
- Distress Inks,
- craft card base (15x15 cm),
- dark red cardstock for background (3 pieces of 14x14 cm) and die cuts,
- patterned paper (3 pieces of 13,5x13,5 cm),
- white card stock for die cuts,
- glitter embossing powder,
- embossing ink,
- black pen,
- heat gun,
- paper glue.

First I cut and colored the moose and the gnomes.

Next I cut and embossed the corners with glitter powder.

I did the same with the snowflakes.

Then I cut all six squares for the background and insides.

And last I cut additional squares and the pocket. I used red card stock for the pocket.

And when all that was cut and colored I assembled the card together.

This is the inside of the card with a pocket to hold your gift card.

And that's all form me. I wish you a nice start of the new week and see you again on Sunday.

Christmas Gnome and Friend

Good Morning Scrapping Cottage Friends

It is Pam creating with you today!

I can't believe Christmas is only a month and a few days away!  I am enjoying making my cards this year because of the adorable dies in the new Christmas releases Part 1 and 2.  There is everything you could want in these 2 releases.

Design Steps:

 1.  Use the Holiday Gnomes w/Fox die and cut all the pieces out in white card stock
 2.  Color and shade the piece with you favorite markers.  After they are colored assemble the pieces
 3.  Cut a piece of purple card stock 4 x 5 1/4 and run it through an embossing folder.  Cut a piece of snowy designer paper 3 x 4.  And cut a circle 3 1/4 inch circle using the Stitched Circle die.  Also cut the snowbanks using the Polar Bear.  Glue all pieces to the purple card stock
4.  Glue the purple panel to a white A2 card base.  Use dimension tape and pop up the gnome and fox.  Cut out the sentiment and scalloped circle using the Christmas Tag Topper set.  The snowflake is cut with the Santa Over Christmas Town

Be Merry

Hello!  This is Sukie and today I have a fun and festive card to share for my design team post.  I went with a non-traditional color theme for this Christmas card.
I used a total of 4 different die sets to cut out all the pieces for my card.   The snowflakes are from the Santa Over Christmas Town set and the reindeer is from the Silly Holiday Reindeer die set.  I opted to use the Springtime Window for my card even though the reindeer coordinates with the Winter Window which I used on this card.  The Icicle Border was the final die piece for my card.
The reindeer was nestled inside the window and icicle border was trimmed on the edge to fit along the window sill.  I stamped a sentiment from the APB Merry and Bright stamp set on a hand cut flag.
I created my card base with a non traditional color theme which definitely has a winter vibe.  The snowflakes were scattered on the base of my card.
The reindeer and window was the next element added to my card. The window was adorned with the icicle border completing the winter scene.
The sentiment was placed below the larger snowflake as the finishing touch on my card.
Here are the dies used on my card available in the store:

From Our House to Yours

Hello!  This is Sukie and today I'm sharing this winter card.  My card was created with one of the new sets from the Christmas die release. The Santa Over Christmas Town die is so versatile for creating winter themed cards.
I cut out all of the pieces in white card stock to create a winter wonderland scene.  The snow border was fussy cut.  The background was created with some Oxide Inks and white paint splatters for a snowy look.
I accented the die cuts with some Stickles to add sparkly details to the the plain white pieces. The snow border was stamped with a sentiment from the Scrappy Moms (retired) A Holiday to Remember stamp set.
To create my winter wonderland scene, I adhered the snow border at the base of my card.  Santa's sleigh and the reindeer were anchored above.
I filled in the edges of my card with the trees and placed the house in between the trees.
The snowflakes were the finishing accents on my card.  I cut one of the snowflakes in half and adhered a half to each side of my card.

Holiday Pup

Hello Scrapping Cottage Friends,

It is Pam on the blog creating with you today.  I hope you are all doing well.  I am continuing to make Christmas cards using our new release dies.  The card today is using the Holiday Pup.  I just love dogs so this die is right up my alley!!
Design Steps:
 1.   Using the Holiday Pup die cut out the pieces using red, green, white, yellow, black and brown card stock
 2.  Shade the pup pieces using ink and then assemble
 3.   Shade the gift pieces using ink and then assemble
 4.  I like to lay out the pieces to see how I will arrange them on my card
5.  Use and A2 white card base, a piece of red card stock slightly smaller then the white card front, a piece of green DP 4 x 5 1/4, 2 strips of red DP 1/2 x 5 1/4 and cut a white rectangle frame using the Stitched Wide Rectangle dies second to the largest.  Glue the red card stock to the card front add the green DP along with the red DP strips.  Next pop of the frame with dimensionals.  Place in the pup and gift.  Add the sentiments and snowflakes (I cut the snowflakes out with the Santa Over Christmas Town die)
