Happy Christmas Eve, I couldn’t really do a card without Santa on so this Will be my very last Christmas card of the year. It’s Wendy bringing you the blog today and I wish you the merriest of Christmases

Tip begin with I took a navy card and used the ‘Holiday Slimline’ to cut 2 pieces of card, one higher than the other.

I stuck the base card down with glue but in my usual style I 3D’s the other pice of card so that i could add item behind this piece

Next I cut out Santa, and his silly reindeer and attached these to the card with 1mm 3D foam pads.

I then choose a range if trees from the ‘Campin Out Trees’ set and added some chalk before attaching, then to the cared periodically added with 1mm foam pads.

To finish and it’s hard to see but I used a clear ‘Winks of Stella’ pen on the trees to make then glisten and we are done!

Again Happy Christmas to you and your loved ones and I hope you’ve been good and Santa puts something nice in your stocking

Hugs
Wendy

Quick Popup

Hi everyone Happy Monday and oh my, oh my, it's almost Christmas and 2022 so whose ready?! Not me time is going by way too fast for me.  I made this popup Christmas cards for a friend of mine kid who happened to be watching me craft.  She said "oooo make the bear popup" hahha I laughed and so oh ok now that I can do for sure...

So I created a slimline popup by cutting my card stock to 4 x 8.5 and scored it at 4x5, and then made two other sections at 4 x 3 approximately.  I then covered it with patterned paper that my new helper chose and then made the popup piece by simply folding a piece of paper for it to lean against.
I colored my diecut pieces with my copics and glued them with a twist meaning.  I put the hat on my bear and made the bear pull the reindeer... she thought it was funny so we went with it.
I have started coloring on colored cardstock with my copics I feel this gives it a different look
Here is my finished popup card and you can see the piece of paper I adhered to the back of my Santa Bear and walla easy peasy

I really love how it came out and I topped it off with the "Merry Christmas" sentiment
using gold foil paper

Quick and Easy Christmas Tags

Happy Sunday Scrapping Cottage friends! Melinda here with another project share. Today I am showcasing a couple of quick, easy and cute gift tags for Christmas.

Here is a look at my tags.
I used the super cute Gnome Santa Gnome w/ Silly Reindeer Die.

I cut the reindeer out of white cardstock. I then used my brown marker to color his body in.
I then used some chalks and some white gel pen for some extra touches.

Here's a closer look at the Reindeer tag. I used the fine tip pen to write Merry Christmas.

I finished off the tag by mounting it onto the Green patterned paper and the Black paper for mats. I put all that onto the Scallop stitched rectangle die for the base. I added a little red jingle bell and twine bow for a finishing touch.

Here is a closer look at tag two with the cute little Santa Gnome I used the smallest die from the scallop stitched rectangle set for the sentiment.

Santa Gnome & Silly Reindeer

Hello CottageCutz friends! Thanks for taking the time to stop and visit with us today. It's Mary Marsh here bringing you the Saturday edition of the Blog.

IT'S NEW RELEASE TIME! The new Christmas dies are in the online store with 40 new designs from Christmas Part 1 and 19 new designs from Christmas Part 2 and they are on a limited time sale at 30% off.

I send a lot of Christmas cards and during the busy holiday season, I need to make a few cards that are more simplified in design and can be reproduced quickly. This allows me to spend time on more detailed designs.

Today for your viewing pleasure, I have a CAS design featuring the whimsical Santa Gnome w/Silly Reindeer die from Christmas Part 2 and the Merry Christmas w/Snowflakes die from Christmas Part 1. So let's get started with some details on how I created this card.

Design Steps:

I started my card this week by cutting the images. The packaging had the perfect Christmas colors so I went with those.
Then I looked through my designer papers for a paper that had a snowy background scene. I found this one and thought it was just perfect. With the right designer paper I think you can make a more simple design but still have the wow effect.
I didn't want to cut too much off this paper so I decided to go with a square card.

Navy Blue card base: 5 3/4" x 5 3/4"
Designer paper Layer: 5 1/2" x 5 1/2"

I cut the Merry Christmas sentiment in navy blue cardstock.

Now that all my card elements are prepared, I am ready to start card assembly. I attached the designer paper to the card base with double sided tape. The images are attached with dimensional adhesive. Lifting them slightly off the background gives your card more depth.

To finish off the card, I added the sentiment using Art glitter glue. This one is my new fave and it dries clear. Well that's it for me for this week. See you next Saturday.

Ride On Gnomie Santa

 Hello Friends

Guess What!! It is New Release Time!  The collection is Christmas Part 2!  There are are 19 new designs just as adorable as the Christmas Part 1 release.  For a limited time you can save 55% off the entire bundle or 30% off individual dies.  You can check all of these fantastic dies out right HERE!

Today my Z-Fold card is using Santa Gnome w/ Silly Reindeer. There are several gnomes in this release and who doesn't love gnomes!!

Design Steps

1.  Cut the pieces out using the Santa Gnome w/Silly Reindeer and red, brown, dark brown, gold, silver, white green, tan and black

2.  Shade the pieces and assemble with a fine tip glue

3.  For the card base cut white card stock 4 1/4 x 11. Fold in half and then fold the front fold in half again.  Cut 2 pieces of silver glitter paper 2 7/8 x 4 1/8 and 2 pieces of navy dotted DP 2 1/2 x 4.  Next cut a silver glitter piece 5 1/4 x 4 1/8 and a piece of navy dotted DP 5 x 3 3/4
4.  Glue the silver layer down first and then the navy dotted DP down next
5.  For the Z- Fold arm cut a piece of white card stock 11 x 1 fold in half.  Then fold in half one of the flaps again.  Before attaching it to the card front cut silver glitter paper 3/4 x 5 1/4 and two pieces of glitter paper 3/4 x 2 1/2 and glue to the arm.  Glue the strip to the card front as shown above and below

6.  Using the Merry Christmas w/Shadow die cut out two in white card stock and glue them together
7.  Glue the Merry Christmas to the card front.  I decided I needed a little interest in the background. So I used the Slimline Mountain and Trees die and cut out the snowcapped mountains and the tree line.  I then cut them to fit the large background panel and the small side panel.  Then glued them down.  I glued down the gnome and reindeer on the front arm of the z-fold.  I also used the Snowflake Background Slimline to cut out a few snowflakes glued them down and the card is complete
