Happy Father's Day

Hi!

It's Anja here. For today's post I made a Father's Day card. I used one of the dies from the Christmas release. It seemed perfect for the occasion.

For this card I used:

- Cottage Cutz dies (Christmas Pets, Rounded Rectangles Slimline, Oval Set),

- Distress Inks and Oxides,

- white card base (9,5x22,5 cm),

- white and patterned card stock for die cuts,

- white pen,

- black pen,

- plastic stencil,

- heat gun,

- washi tape,

- tape,

- water spritzer,

- printer,

- vellum paper,

- adhesive foam pads,

- paper glue.

First I cut and colored the pets.

Next I started on the background. I used the smooching technique. I dried the paper with the heat gun.

Next I added more interest to the background using the plastic stencil. I used the same Distress Oxide for coloring.

Next I cut an oval out of patterned paper and placed it on the background. I used rounded rectangle slimline die over it and adhered it with the washi tape to prevent moving. I cut it with my cutting machine.

I printed the sentiment on the vellum paper and teared the paper on both sides. I adhered the paper to the background using tape on the back side.

I placed and adhered the background to the card base and added the pets using adhesive foam pads. And my card was done.

And that's all from me for today. Have a nice week and see you again next Sunday.

Aloha

Hello!  This is Sukie and today I have a fun card to share for my design team day.  My goal was to create a summer themed card just to say hello.

I used several of the newly released Slimline dies to create my card.  My card base and water background was cut with the Rounded Rectangles Slimline dies. I also used the Hills Slimline for the water and dirt background. The clouds are from the Lift Flaps Stitched Rectangle Slimline die set.  The adorable Surf Mobile was cut out of some bright and cheery card stock.
The combination of ink and basic card stock gives my card base lots of depth and dimension for a tropical appearance.
Once my background was complete, I affixed the clouds, stamping the "Aloha" sentiment on one of them.  I also trimmed one of the clouds for a better fit on my card.
The surf mobile was the final addition to my card.  The bright colors of the car were perfect for finishing off the bold design.
This will be a fun card to send to that special someone just to say hello or aloha!
Here are the die sets used on my card, available in the store:

Always Tea Time

Happy Friday!  It's Jeanne today with a vertical slimline card for the tea lovers in your life.  For this card I used the Nested Stitched Rectangle Slimline and the Rounded Rectangle Slimline dies along with Spring Tea Party from the Spring release.

I started by picking my background paper so that I could have the colors for my fox and flowers.  I used the Stitched Rectangle for the background and the Rounded Rectangle for my banner.

I cut all pieces of my image from white cardstock and colored with Distress Oxide inks.  I cut two of all the flowers and tea cups.

I stamped my sentiment 1 1/4 inches from the top of the banner and placed my fox just below.  Then I added the flowers and teacups, angling them.  I decided not to use the purple teapot.

I wanted to add some ribbon to give a bit of interest to the base and highlight the fox.

I cut a piece of ribbon 7 inches long, folded it in half and adhered in 3 1/5 inches from the top.  I angled the ends.

Because of the height of the ribbon, I used foam tape on the back of my banner piece to adhere it to the card.  I placed it 1/4 inches from the top.

I used some coordinating pearls to give a little bit of playful shimmer and draw your eye down the banner.

I hope you have enjoyed my card today.  Be sure to visit the online store where the new Slimline dies are on sale for a limited time.

Love You Mom

Hi!

It's Anja here. I made a card for mom today. I used combination of new and older dies to make a card, full of spring flowers.

For this card I used:

- Cottage Cutz dies (Spring Flowers in Pot, Love You Mom Phrase, Rounded Rectangles Slimline),

- Distress Inks,

- white card base (10x23 cm),

- water spritzer,

-scissors,

- heat gun,

- adhesive foam pads,

- paper glue.

First I cut and colored all the little pieces for the flowers. I cut the vase three times to give it a bit more dimension.

Next I cut and colored the sentiment.

Then I started on the background. I used the smooching technique. When the paper was dry I colored around the edges with green ink.

I used all the left flowers to decorate the inside. First I cut the rectangle and colored it around the edges. Then I glued the flowers and greenery around the edges. I used the scissors to cut the parts that overlapped the edge of the paper.

I arranged all the parts together. I adhered the bouquet with the adhesive foam pads. And my card was done.

And that's all form me for today. Have a nice Sunday and see you again on Tuesday for my next post.
