Magical Unicorn Dreams Shaker

Hello friends,

Kris here to share some Friday inspiration with you.  I've created a fun Unicorn Shaker card that is perfect for a young girl.  The inside says "Birthday Wishes"

DESIGN STEPS:

I die cut the Flying Unicorn and the Rainbow with Clouds from white cardstock and colored with Copics.

Next, I cut (2) pieces of white cardstock at 4-1/4" x 5-1/2".  From one of those, I die cut the largest Double Stitched Rectangle die from the middle, creating a frame for our card front.

From the Double Stitched Rectangle that was cut out, I die cut one of the Clouds Slimline dies.

On the other A2 piece of cardstock,  I ink blended Distress Oxide inks over the whole background, then repeated it onto the frame.

I used Scor Tape to adhere a piece of acetate to the backside of frame, and also to the backside of the clouds border for the front.  Before removing the tape backings, I inset the clouds and glued the rainbow so the ends are tucked under the clouds.

Once I got my clouds adhered on the front, I flipped it over to the back and added 1/8" foam strips around the opening, then added my shaker elements.  I then placed my ink blended layer (back of shaker) upside-down onto the foam strips.

I die cut "Magical" from the Magical Unicorn Dreams die from lavender c.s. and adhered to bottom of clouds, then I popped up the unicorn with foam strips.

I cut a white A2 top folding card base and attached my shaker to the front and done!

May Your Day Be Magical

Hello!  This is Sukie and today I have a sweet card to share for my design team post. I'm still loving all of the dies from the Magical Fantasy die release, they are perfect for those whimsical projects!
All of my pieces were die cut in white card stock and then shaded with my Oxide Inks.  I went with a soft color palette for both the Rainbow with Clouds and the Magic Dragon.
To create my background I cut out several of the clouds from the Rainbow with Clouds die and used it as a stencil at the bottom of my card base.  The top of my card base was inked with some Mustard Seed Oxide Ink and splattered with a bit of water.
I heat embossed a sentiment from the Scrappy Moms (retired) Happily Ever After stamp set and anchored the rainbow next to the sentiment.  The sweet dragon was adhered above the clouds, he appears to be floating.
For a finishing accent, I adhered some sequin stars on the upper half of my card.  This card is perfect for any special occasion!
Here are the dies used on my card available in the store:

Rainbow Birthday!

Good Morning Crafty Friends!

I am continuing to work on my summer birthday cards.  Most of the birthdays fall in June and July so I am trying to stay on top of the special occasions! Today I am using the little rainbow in a shaker card.

Designer Steps:

 1.  Using the Rainbow with Clouds die cut it out on white card stock
 2.  Use your favorite markers and color the rainbow.  I used Copic markers
 3.  Use ink to shade the clouds with blue
 4.  Cut 2 Scallop Stitched Squares in white cards stock.  I used the third from the largest square.  After I cut out Scalloped Square I cut the centers square.  I used the 4th from the largest Double Stitched Square to do that
 5.  Glue clear plastic between the two frame and then glue the rainbow and clouds to the frame
 6.  Add the rhinestones behind the clear window and then pop it up to the card
7.  Using the happy phrase die cut 2 of them out of white card stock and glue together before gluing it to the card.  Stamp the word Birthday in black on white card stock. Then cut out and glue to the card as shown

Somewhere over the rainbow

Hi, Janja is here with you.
I found an inspiration for today's card in a lullaby for babies. I made a baby boy card with sweet unicorns.

- CottageCutz dies: Rainbow With Clouds, Sweet Unicorns, Fairytale Castle (cloud), Clouds & Sun, Rectangle Set, Stitched Rectangle Set
- white card base: 4.25 x 5.5" (10,8 x 14 cm), folded
- patterned paper: 4 x 5.2" (10,2 x 13,2 cm)
- white and colored cardstock
- gray ink pad
- glue, double-sided adhesive tape, self-adhesive foam pads

From colored cardstock die-cut both unicorn. Add the shading on the edges with ink pad and brush. Put all the pieces together with a glue.

Die-cut the rainbow and clouds.

Trim selected patterned papers and a white cardstock.
With two differently large dies, first die-cut the rectangle into the patterned paper. Place it on a white cardstock and die-cut a smaller rectangle.
Paste the clouds into the background and attach the frame.

Now we have everything ready to finish the card.

Have a nice day.
