Welcome To Our Home Mini Décor Project

Hello Scrapping Cottage friends!
Melinda here with you on this Terrific Tuesdie!  Today I am sharing a Patriotic Mini Home Décor project. It features some sweet little cupcakes from one of the dies from the New Sweet Treats Release!
Here is my project.
I started with a cute little distressed home metal shaped silhouette. I found it at the dollar store.

I created the inner sentiment on my computer. I printed it off on some plain white cardstock. I printed it off on four different sizes as I wasn't sure which size would look the best.

Once I picked the size I felt would work, I used the third largest pierce circle die and cut it out.

I then cut, colored and assembled some of the sweet little cupcakes from the Pedestal Stand W/ Cupcakes die. I cut all the pieces out in white cardstock. I only had to color in the red and blue pieces. Easy peasy!  I also added some clear stickles to the "stars" on the cupcakes and on some of the white frosting.  I used some red stickles on the berries to give them a little sparkle.

I used some foliage from the Christmas Floral and Lantern With Pine Boughs Dies. I cut them all out in white cardstock as well. I then colored in the little stems with the "holly" berries on them.

I also added a dot of some blue stickles to the centers of the stars on the image. The little bow I added on the chimney is also from the Lantern With Pine Boughs Die.

Here are a couple of closeup photos of the cute cupcakes and foliage. You can see them sitting on the cute base that is a part of the die as well.

I did mount the white pierced circle with the image onto the next size up pierced circle that I used to cut out some Kraft cardstock. I added some foam tape between them to give it all a little lift from the base.

Here it is on my dining room table. I decided I didn't quite like it here. Felt like it got lost in the shuffle....lol.

Here is where I decided to put it. on my table in my entrance.

Here is the new sweet treats release.

I also used the Lantern With Pine Boughs Die which is a discontinued die. However both the Christmas Farmhouse Floral and Deer Floral Spray dies both have some great "Holly berry" type alternatives.

Birthday Cupcakes on Pedestal

Hello CottageCutz friends! Thanks for taking the time to stop and visit with us today. It's Mary Marsh here bringing you the Saturday edition of the Blog.

Our Sweet Treats dies with 13 new designs are still available in the online store. They are so perfect for any card making occasion you may have. The individual dies are currently 30% off.

Today for your viewing pleasure, I have created a Birthday card using the Pedestal w/Cupcakes die. This one will be going to my good friend who celebrates a summer birthday.  So, let's get started with some details on how I created my card.

Design Steps:

Since I knew the die, I was going to use, I decided to use papers and colors that I think are more on the feminine side. I went with a magenta cardstock and designer paper for the card base and layering panel.

Magenta Card Base: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
White Layering Panel: 4 1/8" x 5 3/8"
Magenta Designer Paper: 4" x 5 1/4"
Next, I cut my cupcakes in complementary colors. I kept the pedestal white to have it stand out against the designer paper.
I cut the happy birthday phrase from an older CottageCutz die. The "festive birthday greeting" is from the 2019 Birthday release. I cut in white and did an offset with the magenta cardstock just for a bit of variation.
Now that my card elements are prepared, I am ready to start card assembly. I attached the designer paper to the white layering panel with double sided tape. Then I added my pedestal and cupcakes using a combo of art glitter glue (dries clear) and double sided tape.
The happy birthday phrase is attached with art glitter glue.
To finish off the card front I secured the image panel to the card base.
I had an extra cupcake so I used it on the inside of my card. I stamped my sentiment, added a piece of the leftover designer paper and the cupcake. And this card is ready to get mailed out in a couple of weeks.
Well, that's it for me for this post. I hope I have given you an idea for a way to use this new die.

Happy Birthday Gnome Paper Piecing Card

Hello Scrapping Cottage friends!
Melinda here with you on this Terrific Tuesdie!  Today I am sharing a FUN card featuring more dies from the New Sweet Treats Release! Last week I shared this cute little gnome piecing I created with some leftover pieces. This week I will show you what I used and share the cute little card he is on!
Here's a look at my completed card. I started with a horizontal top folding card base. I used some white cardstock for that. I then cut a piece of some colorfully cute diagonal striped patterned paper I had in my stash. I cut it to 4x5.25 for the mat.

Here's the photo I shared last week of the little Gnome I made with some leftover pieces.

So here are the pieces I used to create this cute little fella. They are all pieces from various dies in this "SAHWEEET" release!

So here's a closer look at the pieces I used for his arms (the top pieces). I cut off the bottom part and used that for his "hand". I also cut off that extra piece around the edge and it made a little lip at the bottom to look like a slight cuff.

Here are the pieces that I used for his "head". I added the side pieces to fill in the sides for the "hair". I did cut off the extra  once his beard was in place.

Here is what his head pieces look like. I loosely layered them onto each other to give you the idea.

Here is his body along with his two "shoes". I just cut the extra lip off the bottoms.

Here's another look at little Mr. Gnome. I mounted him onto a stitched rectangle scalloped mat with a yellow cardstock mat. I put some of those super cute cupcakes along side. I added some glaze to that tiny cherry, but it doesn't really show on the photo. I also added some stickles to the top cupcake and the centers of the flowers on the bottom cupcake.

Here's a closer look at the large cupcake and the Happy Birthday sentiment. I did add some foam tape underneath them all to give them just a little lift. I also added some cinnamon stickles to the brown swirls. It didn't show up too well in the photo but the swirls are nice and sparkly.

Here is the new sweet treats release.

The Dies I used to create this project:

The jar piece on the right is what I used for the gnomes arms

I used this cupcake and the top for the gnomes head and beard. I also used the top right "pink" piece for his mustache.

I used this cupcake top piece for his hat and the longer swirl piece for his "hair". I did also use this complete cupcake to decorate my card.

I used the sundae cups top ruffled piece (just above the heart) for the Gnome's hat brim.

I used the brown frosting on the cupcake on the top right for the gnomes hat top. I also used some of the cupcakes from this die to decorate my card.

Pedestal

Happy Monday everyone.  Today I am back sharing a card I made for all the cupcake fans or sweet tooths which definitely would be me!

I used the Pedestal stand to use as my focal point for a Clean and Simple look
I used some fun patterns that go along with the cupcakes and used a piece of pink csrdstock for the center of the card

I put the cupcake stand in the center and added my cupcakes in alternsting color combos.
