Peek a boo parcel

Happy Friday Cottagecutz fans. It’s Wendy bringing you the blog today. I hope you’ve had a great week. The weekend is nearly upon us as is Christmas so it’s making sure we are ready for the big day.

I am bringing you a quick an easy card today. So to begin with I cut the ‘Lift Flaps Stitched Rectangle Slimline’ die to cut the apertures on my silver card. I stuck this onto a white folded card using 1mm foam pads for a bit of dimension.

Next i cut out the ‘Santa gnome in Present’ 3 times, but I only cut out the gnome once. I wanted to give an affect of the box opening in each step. Once assembled I have attached the presents and Gnome to the card with 1mm foam pads. Here is a closer view for you

Next I printed out the words ‘Do Not Open Until Dec 25’. I split the words up and cut them out using the ‘Nested Stitched Scalloped Squares’ and attached behind each flap

To finish off the card I cut out some gold holly from ‘The Joyful Snowman Die’ and then added some diamantés and we’re done

I hope you enjoyed the card and have a wonderful weekend. Make sure that you have plenty of time to Christmas craft

Snowy Days

Hi everyone I am back with another Monday post. Today I am sharing a Christmas card inspired by a movie I saw but I sort of forgot the name. 😂. It was a Christmas show an oldie but goodie anyhoo. So I came up with this slimline

I used to Lift Flaps to create my card base with some desert sand cardstock and I just love this die. When I was done I added some foam tape to the back to give it some height.

Next I colored some trees from Rustic Sign & Trees to create a sort of sky for my Snowman flyer and I colored my pieces with my COPIC markers

Next I colored my High Flying Snowman and I glued some pieces on the top layer of my slimline and other pieces like the tree later below on the bottom layer.

Finally I added a sentiment Celebrate which says it all to complete my card

Here is the inside of my slimline and I hope everyone enjoyed my post!!

Have a Roaring Birthday

Hello!  This is Sukie and today I'm sharing an interactive card for my design team day!  The new Slimline dies certainly made it easy to create this fun card.

I used the Lift Flaps Stitched Rectangle Slimline die set to cut out the double stitched rectangle and the lift flaps.  I cut out an extra lift flap in white card stock and cut it off on the attached end.  I also cut out the Safari Lion, Safari Rhino, Safari Giraffe, Safari Zebra and Safari Camel.  The grass border is from the Grass Slimline die set.

The safari animals were cut out in both white and colored card stock and shaded with some inks.  The first step in my design process was to layer the lift flap die cut on top of the the grassy background.  This piece was then adhered onto my card base.
Next, the sweet animals were nestled inside of the lift flap frames.  I trimmed the giraffe slightly so that he would fit.
The lion and rhino were adhered on top of the right and left side flaps.
I stamped a couple of sentiments along with a lion image on the white card stock flap and adhered it to the other flap adding a fun element to my card.

Aloha

Hello!  This is Sukie and today I have a fun card to share for my design team day.  My goal was to create a summer themed card just to say hello.

I used several of the newly released Slimline dies to create my card.  My card base and water background was cut with the Rounded Rectangles Slimline dies. I also used the Hills Slimline for the water and dirt background. The clouds are from the Lift Flaps Stitched Rectangle Slimline die set.  The adorable Surf Mobile was cut out of some bright and cheery card stock.
The combination of ink and basic card stock gives my card base lots of depth and dimension for a tropical appearance.
Once my background was complete, I affixed the clouds, stamping the "Aloha" sentiment on one of them.  I also trimmed one of the clouds for a better fit on my card.
The surf mobile was the final addition to my card.  The bright colors of the car were perfect for finishing off the bold design.
This will be a fun card to send to that special someone just to say hello or aloha!

If Friends Were Flowers Slimline

Hello Scrapping Cottage friends! Thanks for taking the time to stop and visit with us today. It's Mary Marsh here bringing you the Friday edition of the Blog.

We have a brand new release of dies in the online store. Your slimline cardmaking is going to get a lot easier. We have 9 Slimline designs and they are on a 25% off sale. These are wonderful, basic dies that should be a part of every card maker's collection especially if you are liking the new slimline style.

Have you ever needed to make a last minute card for a gift or a birthday or anniversary that you forgot about? Well, today I have for your viewing pleasuring a CAS style card that would be very easy to reproduce.

I am using the Spring Flowers in Jar 1, 2, 3 dies and I created a card in the slimline style. So let's get started on some details of how I created my card.

Design Steps:

I started by cutting the images in white cardstock. I thought they would standout nicely against a bold and bright background.
Next I cut the image panel. I used just the double stitched rectangle from the new Lift Flaps Stitched Rectangle Slimline die and cut it from a bright magenta cardstock.
I wanted an additional layer so I used the largest of the Scalloped Stitched Rectangle Slimline and I cut in black cardstock to continue with the bold look.
I stamped my sentiment in black ink directly on the magenta image panel.  With this sentiment I will be able to use this card for a variety of occasions by stamping another sentiment on the inside.
Now I am ready to start card assembly. I attached the image panel to the black scalloped layering panel with double sided tape. Then I attached the Flower jars using Ranger multi medium matte.
To complete my card I cut a white card base measuring 3 1/8" x 8 1/2". I will add another sentiment on the card inside.
I attached the image panel with double sided tape and scattered a few white faceted enamel dots.
And that's it for me for this week. I hope I have given you an idea for a slimline card using both the Spring and Slimline dies. See you next Saturday.
