DT Samples w/Magic Garden Dies (Day 3)

Hello Scrapping Cottage friends! Thanks for taking the time to stop and visit today. We are sampling DT cards for the next week from our brand new Magic Garden release.

There are 14 new dies in the Magic Garden release. And for a limited time the individual dies are on sale at 25% off.  If you love fairies, fairy gardens, gnomes and flowers, you will love these dies.

We want to give you some creative ideas for using the dies. So let's get started with the cards for today.

Sample 1:  Our first sample today is from Jeanne Knobbe. She used the Stone Fairy Door die and the Home Sweet Home Phrase (older release) to create this pretty one layer card. She used distress oxide inks to color the fairy door image. The path, grass and sky were masked and colored also using distress oxide inks. How perfect would this be for a new home owner or someone who has just moved. You could also use it as a party invitation just by changing the sentiment.

Sample 2:  Our next sample today is from Pam MacKay. She used the Mushroom Garden die and created a birthday card with a fancy fold.  She cut the front panel in half and added the designer paper. The stitched scalloped square was used to showcase the mushroom images which were colored with Copic markers. The color scheme makes this such a soft and feminine birthday card. The sweet little ladybug is an ideal topper for the mushroom.

Well, that's our samples for today. I hope the team has given you some fresh ideas on ways to use these new dies. Stop by the Blog again tomorrow for more amazing samples.

Hello !!!!

It's Saturday time and I'm Anita here with a new post with the amazing CottageCutz dies. We have just released the Home Sweet Home Collection and believe me!!! It's wonderful, cute, adorable and what not. All the dies are so so sweet and layering and working with them has been super fun.
You can create wonders with these dies and create so many beautiful projects with them.

Today's layout features dies from the Home Sweet Home collection and I have created a summer theme scene here . This project will simply look so good in your children's room.

Here is the complete layout that measures 10 inches x 10 inches.

I have used pattern paper and cardstock to cut out the diecuts.
the pictures show how each die cut has been used to build the layers.
I have used lot of scraps for die cutting .

Use the tree die to make bushes

Home sweet home

Hi, Janja here!

With great joy I share with you a card made with the June's release of the CottageCutz dies - Home Sweet Home. It comes with 24 beautiful dies that complement each other. I am sure that you will create with them in such joy as I did.
Let's see how I made the card.

White card base: 13.36 x 5.3" (41,6 x 13,5 cm), folded.
Cut out 6 squares from different patterned papers: 5 x 5" (12,7 x 12,7 cm).

1.Entrance hall
- large die from the CottageCutz - stitched heart set
CottageCutz die - home sweet home phrase
- cardstock in natural and white color
- Distress inks: Victorian Velvet, Spun Sugar, Antique Linen
- cord and metal brad

In a natural cardstock make folds with a bone folder. Brush it with Distress ink Antique Linen. With the entire surface of a pad dragged over the cardstock. Cut out a heart. In the heart make two holes, insert a cord and paste it to background. Shadow the inscription and paste it on the heart.

2. Living room
CottageCutz die - curtains w/ rod
CottageCutz die - sofa & chair

- cardstock in natural color: 5 x 2" (12,7 x 5 cm)

Cardstock in natural color is prepared same as for the heart. This is our living room floor. From the remaining cardstocks with dies cut out an equipment. Shadow and mount them on the background.

Now glue both rooms with double-sided adhesive tape on card base.
