Rock 'n' Roll Birthday Wishes

 Hello Scrapping Cottage Friends

It is Pam creating with you today.

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!  I sure did I got to spend it with family in Ohio.

I have a few birthdays coming up in January and February.  So I decided to do a couple of birthday cards.  I am using our Fifties release dies.  The card features Fifties Jukebox and Fifties Soda Bar dies.  I used the mini slimline design to showcase these cute dies.

Design Steps:

1.  Use the Fifties Soda Bar die cut the following colors of card stock:  black, white, silver, pink, turquoise, red and brown.  Glue the pieces together with a fine tip adhesive
2.  Use a white card base measuring 3 1/4 x 6 1/4, cut a piece of turquoise dotted DP 3 1/8 x 6 1/8
3.  Glue and assemble the soda bar on the turquoise dotted DP on the right hand side of the paper
4.  After the soda bar is assembled glue the panel to the front of the card base
5.  Using the Fifties Juke Box die cut the following colors of card stock: pink, turquoise, black, gray, yellow, and white
6.  Assemble the Juke box with a fine tip glue
7.  Glue the Juke Box to the left side of the card and then add the sentiment which is layered on pink.  Your card is complete and so cute!

More Classic 50's - Card & Scrapbook Layout

Hello CottageCutz friends! Thanks for taking the time to stop and visit with us today. It's still Black Friday release week here on the Blog.

We have a new Classic 50's release that makes its debut here on the Blog and also in the online store. You can pick up the bundle for a huge 65% off. That's under $97 or 30% off individual dies. The release is filled with some amazing retro images from the 50's era.

We have been featuring group posts for the past week to give you lots of inspiration on different ways to use the dies. If you missed any of the posts, just check back on the Blog for lots of eye candy. Today, we have 2 samples for  you from Design Team member, Jen Hartsgrove

Card 1:  Turning 50 and images from the 50's are so perfect for the card Jen created to celebrate this milestone birthday. She used the Fifties Soda Bar and the Fifties Phrases #1 dies to create a fabulous scene from the era where soda fountains were the rage.

Her background designer paper is a great choice for "wallpaper". So much detail with this new die- check out the juke box on the counter! Don't you just love it!!!
This is the card inside view.
Project 2:  Jen has been showing us quite a few layouts over the past couple of months. Check out our YouTube channel if you are a scrapbooker. All of our dies are so easy to add to any scrapbook layout.

On this 8 x 8 layout Jen used the Fifties Diner and the Fifties Phrases #2 die. So perfect for the car hop they host each summer at her restaurant in Maine. How fun would that be for a 50's throwback! Her daughters and nieces are the car hop waitresses.

The Diner die has lots of detail as well. Here is a close up photo.

That's it for today's samples. We hope you have been enjoying the samples we have been creating using these new dies. The team has had so much fun using them in our card designs, 3D projects and scrapbook layouts.

Group Post Black Friday Release Dies (Day 5)

Hello CottageCutz friends! Thanks for taking the time to stop and visit with us today. It's Black Friday release week here on the Blog.

We have a new Classic 50's release that makes its debut here on the Blog and also in the online store. You can pick up the bundle for a huge 65% off. That's under $97 or 30% off individual dies. The release is filled with some amazing retro images from the 50's era.

We have been featuring group posts for the past several days to give you lots of inspiration on different ways to use the dies. If you missed our first 4 posts, you could see them hereherehere and here.
Card 1: Our first card for today is from Melinda Beltran. She created a multi-layered holiday card. The colors, layout and designer paper come together perfectly for a beautiful non-traditional card. It's tailor-made for the friend or family member with that sweet tooth. We all know someone and this stylye card would be so fun to send out to them.

To create her card she used the Fifties Soda Bar, Milkshake & Root Beer Float and the Cinema Drive-in Sign

Card 2: Our next samples for today are from Linh Van. She created 4x4 notecards using the Poodle Skirt & Rollerskate dies. I like the Bohemian style she achieved on the poodle skirt with her designer paper pattern. The "hi" phrase is from the 2018 Retro Alphabet die. One sale right now for 75% off.

These would be perfect for a set of cards to give as a gift to a friend for her birthday or Christmas. Who wouldn't like to receive something handmade? Or to send yourself to let someone know you are thinking of them. That's always appreciated.

That's it for our samples for today. Drop by again tomorrow for more inspiration.
