Farm Cow Peeker Pocket

Happy Labor Day friends!

We are having a HUGE LABOR DAY SALE going on right now -- save up to 65%!  Great time to stock up on your favorite basic dies or nab some of the uber CUTE CottageCutz dies... even the Li'l Bluebird stamps/dies are on sale!!

Hello ~ Kris here to share some MOO-velous Monday inspiration with you!

Have you seen these adorable pocket peekers?!  I've used this cute Farm Cow Peeker, and the Peeker Pocket along with the Hello w/ Shadow die.

I've used the Splitcoast Stampers Color Challenge #964 for this week which is

Copper Clay
Moody Mauve
Misty Moonlight

The colors in my photos below do look a bit off from the color challenge, but I did use Misty Moonlight for my card base, and I substituted Pecan Pie for the Copper Clay.

DESIGN STEPS:

 I cut my card base at 6" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4" for a side-folding card.

I used another piece of MM cardstock and stamped a denim looking background stamp onto it with some grey ink (as I didn't have the Misty Moonlight ink and it gave it a more subtle effect).  Then I die cut it using the Peeker Pocket

To back my pocket and to resemble the brown/tan stitching on jeans, I put a piece of Pecan Pie c.s. behind the pocket and cut it slightly smaller and then glued it behind the denim one.

I cut a piece of patterned paper (from the SU! Earthen Elegance pack as it reminded me of a sort of rustic cowboy print) at 5-3/4" x 4"and adhered to card front.

I cut a piece of Pecan Pie ginham (from the Glorious Ginghams pack) at 5-3/8" x 3-5/8" and adhered to card front.

Next, I punched 2 small holes at top of pocket and added some rustic metal brads, then glued the sides and bottom of pocket to the lower gingham layer.

I die cut my Farm Cow Peeker from White, Sand, and Pecan Pie and then I cut small pieces of the Moody Mauve, Blackberry Bliss, and Mossy Meadow and die cut just the flowers and leaves.

I added some coloring/shading with Distress Oxide inks and Copic markers and added white highlights on flowers & eyes with a white gel pen.  Then I assembled the cute cow with glue and tucked her head/body behind the pocket and her legs on top.

How stinkin' adorable is she?! ☺

I had this li'l buckle with some engraved detail and some braided twine that I thought would be cool on here, so I attached it with some double-sided tape behind the cow's head.

And lastly, I die cut a 'Hello' from the Moody Mauve c.s. and adhered to the pocket.

Thanks for taking a PEEK!  Go check out these adorable PEEKERS and grab your favorites or take advantage of this AWESOME LABOR DAY SALE going on to stock up!!

Double Z-Fold Farm Scene

Welcome CottageCutz friends!

Kris here with some Wednesday inspiration for you!  In honor of our HUGE President's Day Sale going on right now, I've created a fun Double Z-Fold card using lots of dies that you can find on sale - up to 83% OFF! Shop early for best assortment - sale ends this Friday 24th!

This card was so much fun to make!!  We've lived right next door to an upscale ranch for 26 years, and have been lucky that they only keep the baby calves and their mamas in the field that borders our fence.  They're so cute when they frolic and play.  So I just HAD to buy a few cow dies.

DESIGN STEPS:

1.  I cut a piece of light blue cardstock 4-1/4" x 11" - then scored at 5-1/2" and 2-3/4" (card base).

2.  I cut  a piece of lime green cardstock to 4-1/4 x 11" - then scored at 5-1/2" and 2-3/4" (grass).

3. I cut the lime green panel into (2) pieces of 2-1/4 x 11.  One of the panels I cut off the 2-3/4" end to make it a 2-1/4" x 8-1/4" piece.

4.  I die cut the tops of both green pieces with the Grass Slimline die - 83% OFF!!  ***BE SURE you are cutting the correct edge --- the longer green piece will have the 5-1/2" section on the left and the shorter piece will have the 5-1/2" section on the right!

5.  I glued the shorter lime green piece to blue card base, clear to the right and aligned with bottom edge.  (You may find it easiest to attach just the part before the score line, then fold your card onto the short scored part so your card will fold flat to fit into an envelope.)

6.  I glued the longer lime green piece to the front ***ONLY glue 1/2 of the longest scored section... and then the shortest outside edge section as pictured below.

7.  I die cut the Farm Fence Slimline - 83% OFF!!  and scored it at 2-3/4" and 5-1/2" and glued it to the front grass piece as pictured.

8.  Next, I die cut all my design pieces and inked 'em up, and assembled!

Just LOOK at all these SAVINGS!!

9.  Glued everything in place and done!  ☺☺☺ How cute is this?

This card folds up to fit into an A2 envelope ☺

Little Farm Envelopes

It's Anja here for my Monday's post. I made little envelopes decorated with cute farm animals for today's project.

For this card I used:

- Cottage Cutz dies (Farm Cow Peeker, Farm Pig Peeker, Filigree Daisy Envelope),

- Distress Inks,

- white card stock for die cuts,

- yellow card stock for die cuts,

- black pen,

- white ink,

- black pigment ink,

- sentiment stamp,

- acrylic block,

- scissors,

- paper glue.

First I cut and colored the pig and the cow. Next I cut both envelopes. I cut the envelopes two times. I used one piece of each color to cut out the middle part. I did that with the scissors. I used this part to insert in each envelope. Then I assembled the envelopes, added the sentiment and adhered the animals. And my cute little envelopes were done.

And that's all from me for today. Have a nice week and see you again on Sunday.

Birthday Cow

Hello Scrapping Cottage Friends

It is Pam creating with you today!

Our design team is continuing to fashion some ideas for you to use from the new collection called COUNTRY FARM! It has the so many incredible dies.  Everything from Tractors to Cowboy Chicks!  Each die is just full of awesome details and can be used for so many different occasions.  Today, I am using the Farm Cow Peeker.  This little cow has to be the cutest cow I have ever seen!  I think it makes a great pocket card for a tucked in tag and gift card.

Designer Steps:

1.  Use a 4 1/4 x 11 in card base scored at 1 1/4, 2 1/2, and 5 1/2
2.  Cut a piece of red dotted DP 4 1/8 x 5 and a piece of milk bottle DP 4 1/8 x 2.  Fold the card in half and then fold the top scores valley then valley again
3.  Glue the red dotted DP to the front inside of the card.  Fold the bottom flap up and the glue the milk bottle DP to the bottom flap as shown.  Staple the fold twice on each side.  I used my TH tiny stapler and round the corners.
4.  Using the Country Farm Cows die cut out two pieces of dark brown fence and glue them to the flap as shown.  I also cut out 4 pieces of the grass clumps in green
5.  Using the Farm Cow Peeker cut out all the pieces shade and assemble
6.  Cut out 2 tags 5 x 2 1/2 one in brown and one in blue dotted DP.  Glue them together and punch the hole in the top
7.  Using dimensionals pop up the cow and add your ribbon.  Stamp the bottom of the tag with your sentiment and add a small strip of red dotted DP 1/2 x 2 1/2
