Sparkly Sheep

Hi!

It's Anja here for my Sunday post. While I'm still waiting for the new slimline dies and stamp sets to arrive, I'm still making cards with cute Country Farm release dies. This time I made a card with sparkly Sheep.

For this card I used:

- Cottage Cutz dies (Curly Sheep & Lamb, Scalloped Stitched Rectangle Slimline, Nested Stitched Rectangles Slimline),

- Distress Inks,

- white card stock for die cuts,

- black pen,

- white ink,

- embossing ink,

- sentiment stamp,

- acrylic block,

- heat gun,

- white embossing powder,

- sparkle brush marker,

- Perfect Pearls powder,

- brush,

- water spritzer,

- adhesive foam pads,

- paper glue.

First I cut and colored the sheep and the lamb.

Next I cut the scalloped rectangle and embossed the sentiment on top using the white powder.

Then I colored the rectangle with Distress Inks.

After that I sprinkled Perfect Pearls mixed with water over the paper. I used the heat gun to dry it.

I cut another rectangle piece for the card base. I glued the colored rectangle on top of it and added the sheep and the lamb. I used adhesive foam pads to adhere it. Last I used a sparkle marker to add some shine to both the sheep and the lamb. And my card was done.

And that's all from me for today. Before I go I want to invite you to The Scrapping Cottage online store to check the new Lil' Bluebird Designs release.

Have a nice week and see you again on Sunday.

Miss Ewe

 Hello Scrapping Cottage Friends

It is Pam on the blog creating with you!

We have a HUGE SLIMLINE DIE RELEASE with 20 fantastic dies.  The dies are at a savings of 25% off right now in the store.  The new designs are just so amazing.  They are sure to put your imagination into overdrive!!  Check them out right HERE.

I have used two of the new dies on this card the Clouds Horizontal Slimline and the Farm Fence Slimline.

Design Steps:

1.  Using the Curly Sheep & Lamb die cut out the animals.  I cut out 1 sheep and 3 lamb.
2.  Shade the pieces and glue them together with a fine tip glue applicator
3.  Cut out a piece of white card stock 3 1/2 x 8 1/2, cut out a piece of blue using the Cloud Horizontal Slimline, cut out a piece of brown card stock using the Farm Fence Slimline, and last cut out a piece of green using the Grass Slimline.   Glue the cloud piece to the white background.  Glue down the fence next and then the grass
4.  Use a 4 x 9 white slimline base.  Cut a piece of red gingham just slightly smaller then the base.  Glue the two together

5.  Glue the cloud panel to the card base.  Pop up the sheep and then glue the little lambs flat as shown below.  Add your sentiment and bow to complete your card

Herd the News!

Hello!  This is Sukie and today I'm sharing a card featuring dies from the new Country Farm release.  These die sets are absolutely adorable and perfect for so many occasions! This card will be perfect to have on hand for a celebratory occasion!

I used the following die sets on my card:  Stacked Farm Animals, Curly Sheep & Lamb, Country Farm Stable and the Old Farm Fence.  I used colored card stock for all of my die cuts and inked them on the edges for some dimension.
The rustic papers with a bit of country charm are from my stash and were perfect for my card.
I created my card base by layering the 2 panels of paper with the wood themed panel on top.
The grass was affixed to the bottom portion of my card with the farm fence tucked in behind.
Next, the adorable cow was placed on top of the grass as the focal point of my card.
I proceeded to build the stack of farm animals by adhering one on top of another.  The little lamb was nestled next to the cow.
A fun sentiment was stamped on a hand cut flag and adhered in the upper corner of my card.
Here are the die sets used on my card, available in the store:

Welcome Baby

Hello Scrapping Cottage friends! Thanks for taking the time to stop and visit with us today. It's Mary Marsh here bringing you the Saturday edition of the Blog.

IT'S NEW RELEASE TIME! The collection is called COUNTRY FARM! It has the most delightful dies from Tractors to Cowboy Chicks! Each die is just full of awesome details and can be used for so many different occasions. All of the new dies are on sale at 25% off.

Today for your viewing pleasure, I am featuring the new Curly Sheep & Lamb die and created a card to welcome a new baby boy. A young couple from church just had their 3rd baby and I want to send them a card. So let's get started with some details on how I created my card.

Design Steps:
I started my card this week by picking the colors. I wanted to use some colors that are typical boy colors. I found this cute designer paper in a royal blue and decided to go with it. I decided to add some ribbon and went with this white flax ribbon.

Blue Card Base: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
White Layering Panel: 4" 1/8" x 5 3/8"
Designer Paper Layer: 3 7/8" x 5 1/4"
White image panel: 2 3/4" x 3 3/4"
Blue Image Layering Panel: 2 7/8" x 3 7/8"
Next, I cut my sweet Mama sheep and Baby lamb dies. They are so, so cute. I just love how they turned out.
Then I stamped my "beautiful baby boy" sentiment on the white cardstock die cut image panel. I used the 3rd largest die from the rectangle set and stamped in the royal blue ink to match the cardstock and designer paper panels.
Now that my card elements are prepared, I am ready to start card assembly. I attached the sheep & lamb image with dimensional adhesive. Then the blue layering panel that was cut with the 2nd largest Stitched Rectangle die was attached with double sided tape to the image.
I attached the designer paper to the white layering panel and the white flax ribbon with double sided tape. I used a foam adhesive sheet to attach the image panel. I wanted that lifted slightly off the designer paper.
To finish off my card, I attached the panels to the card base and scattered a few royal blue hearts. I am happy with how the card turned out and I think my friends will like it as well. I hope I have given you an idea of how to use this new die. I will be back on Tuesday with another sample using these new dies.
