What's Cookin?

Hello Scrapping Cottage Friends

It is Pam sharing with you this wonderful Monday morning!

As you have heard the Scrapping Cottage family just got bigger with it's new line of stamps and dies.  The line is called lil' bluebird designs.  In the first release there are 16 stamp sets with matching dies.  And you can save up to 50% on bundles.  Today, I am using the BBQ Time Set.  It is perfect for an invitation to a barbecue or just a saying hi card.

I stamped the images using the BBQ Time stamp set and colored them with Prisma colored pencils blending with Gamsol.  Used the coordinating dies to cut them out.  Card base is black and the layer on top is out of kraft card stock.  Stamp the bottom and top of the kraft card stock with the little ants.
I cut out a square on black card stock using the  Scalloped Stitched Square set second from the largest.  Then I cut out a white square using the Double Stitched Square Set.  Top the two squares with a piece of red gingham for a picnic table cloth.  Glue and pop dot the items onto the table cloth

I lined the inside of the card with white card stock stamped with the little ants at the bottom

Potted Plants

Hello Crafty Friends,

It is Pam on the blog today!

You have to check out our new release!  This collection is so fantastic for spring through summer and especially perfect for those who love to garden.  Check it out in the online store there are 19 different dies to choose from and everyone of them is so wonderfully detailed!

Today, I am using the new Potted Plant die and it is just so darn cute!

(Background Photo by Tim Mossholder on Unsplash)
Design Steps:
 1.  Cut out the pieces using the Potted Plant die.  I used a variety of colored card stock: rust, yellow, light green, dark green, brown, blue and white
 2.  Shade the pieces with a number of different colored inks and then assemble with a fine tip glue
 3.  Use an A2 white card base, a piece of yellow check DP (4 x 5 1/4) that I cut with the Double Stitched Square (third from the smallest).  Cut a piece of rust card stock (4 x 3 1/2) which I lined up with the yellow check DP and cut with a slightly smaller square.  I used the Wacky Stitched Square (second from the smallest)
 4.  Glue the rust windows directly behind the yellow checked DP windows and then glue it to a white piece of card stock  4 x 5 1/4
 5.  Next cut out a piece of white card stock using the Double Stitched Rectangle die and stamp it with your sentiment.  Layer your sentiment onto a piece of rust card stock
6.  Pop up your plants and sentiment onto the DP panel (as shown) and then attach it to the white card base.  Add your rhinestones and your card is complete

Bunny Raid!

Hello Scrapping Cottage Friends,

It is Pam on the Thursday blog creating with you.

Today,  I am using one of my all time favorite dies!  This carrot raiding bunny is just adorable.  I love all the details and that fluffy white bunny tail!

Design Steps:

 1.  Using the Bunny Truck die cut out all of the pieces using red, orange, silver, white, green, brown, pink and black card stock
 2.  Use a variety of inks to shade and color the different pieces and then assemble.  I used a very fine tip glue to place all of the pieces
3.  Use an A2 white card base cut a piece of light orange card stock just slightly smaller then the card front.  Cut a piece of carrot DP 4 x 5 1/4.  Glue the light orange and DP paper to the white card front.  Using the Double Stitched Square die (2nd from the largest) cut out a piece of green flowered DP and then layer it with light orange card stock.  Glue the square to the front of the card slightly toward the top.  The sentiment was part of the paper pad so I cut it out and layered it with the green DP and light orange.  Pop the sentiment to the card and then pop on the truck and your card is complete

Rainbow Birthday!

Good Morning Crafty Friends!

I am continuing to work on my summer birthday cards.  Most of the birthdays fall in June and July so I am trying to stay on top of the special occasions! Today I am using the little rainbow in a shaker card.

Designer Steps:

 1.  Using the Rainbow with Clouds die cut it out on white card stock
 2.  Use your favorite markers and color the rainbow.  I used Copic markers
 3.  Use ink to shade the clouds with blue
 4.  Cut 2 Scallop Stitched Squares in white cards stock.  I used the third from the largest square.  After I cut out Scalloped Square I cut the centers square.  I used the 4th from the largest Double Stitched Square to do that
 5.  Glue clear plastic between the two frame and then glue the rainbow and clouds to the frame
 6.  Add the rhinestones behind the clear window and then pop it up to the card
7.  Using the happy phrase die cut 2 of them out of white card stock and glue together before gluing it to the card.  Stamp the word Birthday in black on white card stock. Then cut out and glue to the card as shown
