Blowing Wishes Your Way!

Hello!  This is Sukie and today I have a sweet card to share. The bunny dies worked perfectly for this card which I plan to use for a friend's birthday!

Two of the die sets used on my card are from the Springtime die release; Bunny w/Butterfly and Bunnies in Pots.  I shaded the die cuts with some Oxide Inks for a soft appearance.  I also cut out a Nested Stitched Eyelet Rectangle.

I selected a patterned pink card base and cut out a rectangle with my paper trimmer and created a stenciled cloud background.  A whimsical sentiment was stamped on the rectangle.

The 2 card panels were layered for a perfect fit and then affixed to my card base.
Next, the adorable bunny was nestled inside the double rectangles.
The tiny bunny inside the pot was adhered in the empty space next to the larger bunny with the butterfly fluttering above.
Here are the die sets used on my card, available in the store:

Easter Chick

It's Jeanne today with the Saturday post.  I have a cute little Easter card for you that is very simple to make.  Although this sweet chick is ready for Easter with her bunny ears, after Easter she can be used without the ears.  Wouldn't she make an adorable baby card!

Now on to my card.  I started with a sketch from Splitcoaststampers.

This simplifies the design process.  I decided that I would substitute the oval in the sketch with my chick and egg.

Then I picked my papers.  I cut a base panel  4 1/4 x 5 1/2 inches that will be adhered to my card base.  I used the largest of the Stitched Scallop Rectangle and Stitched Rectangle dies to cut my gingham layering panel.  When glued together the scallops just peek out from the gingham for a spring look.  Using the fourth largest of the Stitched Rectangles I cut my floral panel.

I arranged them as per the sketch and stamped my sentiment across the bottom.

It was time to cut my chick from various colors of scraps.  I chose a pink for her bow to coordinate with the flowers in the paper.

After gluing her down I added a few flowers I had leftover from another card that used the Bunnies in Pots die (also from this release).

I hope you've enjoyed my card today.  Be sure to visit the online store where the new release is on sale for a limited time!

Hoppy Easter

Hi!

It's Anja here. I have another Easter card for you today. I combined different dies from the latest release and come up with the card below.

For this project I used:

- Cottage Cutz dies (Bunnies in Pots, Hatching Bunny Chick, Bird w/Bluebells, Circle Set, Stitched Wide Circle Frame Set),

- Distress inks,

- white card base (15x15 cm),

- white card stock for die cuts,

- purple card stock for background (14,5x14,5 cm) and die cuts,

- patterned paper for background (14x14 cm),

- black pens (thinner and thicker),

- water spritzer,

- scissors,

- heat gun,

- paper glue.

First I cut and colored the bunny and all the other pieces.

Next I cut all the papers for background. I used the biggest die from the frame set.

Then I did the inside of the circle. I used smooching technique to color the background. I dried the paper with the heat gun.

Last I added the sentiment. I wrote the sentiment with a thicker black pen. And then I cut it out of the paper.

Then I arranged all the pieces on the card base and adhered it with the glue. And my card was done.

And that's all from me for today. Have a nice Sunday and see you again next week.

Anja Z.

Spring is Here!

 Hello Scrapping Cottage Friends,

It is Pam creating with you on the blog today!

I am so glad spring has sprung!  Even though I live in Arizona and it never really gets cold I love the spring flowers.  We have a huge variety of cacti and some of the flowers on these plants are just gorgeous!

The card design I am using today was inspired by a card I made in a class with Donna West.  I loved the card so much I wanted to create one of my own.

This card can be used for a spring hello card or for an Easter card which by the way is right around the corner.

Design Steps

1.  Using the Bunnies in Pots die cut out all of the pieces using rust, brown, pink, and blue card stock
2.  Shade the pieces with a variety of inks and then assemble with a fine tip glue
3.  For the card base I used a white A2 card and cut a circle in the middle using the 3rd from the largest Pierced Circle die.  Inside is a 4 x 5 1/4 piece of dotted DP, the front flowered DP is 4 x 5 1/4 cut with the second from the largest Pierced Circle die.  Next cut a white piece of card stock using the largest Stitched Scallop die.  Last cut a strip of dotted DP 4 x 1 1/4
4.  Glue the 4 x 1 1/4 inch dotted DP to the lower half of the front of the flowered DP.  Add the twine to the middle of the strip as shown.  Then glue the panel to the front of the A2 white card base
5.  On the inside Glue the dotted piece of 4 x 5 1/4 DP.  Next glue down the scalloped circle lining it up with the front circle

6.  Create the clouds with a sencil and some blue ink.  Using the Spring Grass die cut a strip of grass.  Cut a small piece of the grass off and then glue it to the scalloped circle making sure you card see it when the card is closed.  Cut a sun using the The Rooster and Chick die then glue it as shown.  Add the pots with the bunnies.  Using the die Hugs cut it out of white 3 times.  Glue them together and pop dot to the front of the card. To complete the card and add the twine bow

Potted Bunnies

Happy Tuesday!  It's Jeanne today with a fun spring card using the Bunnies in Pots die from the new Spring release along with a few older dies that you may already own.  I love coordinating old dies with new ones.  It opens up so many possibilities.

The new Spring release is on sale for a limited time and features some adorable images including bunnies, gnomes, flowers and more!

This card was fun to put together and allowed me to use up some of my scraps!  Always a good thing.  I decided on terracotta pots and a wood sign.  Then I just picked various warm colors for the flowers and sentiment.  I thought this sentiment from Garden Phrases went perfectly with the scene.

I cut lots of lowers and an extra pot.  I wanted to make it look as if the bunnies had upended the flowers from the pots.  The cloudy sky is stenciled using Distress Oxide Tumbled Glass ink. I used the Spring Grass border die, partially cut to get the varying height rows of grass.  Using a sponge dauber and DO Vintage Photo, I edged the sign and bunnies to give them some shading.  I also edged the grass in Garden Green dye ink.
