Burger Time

Hi!

It's Anja here. I have a burger card for you today. My inspiration was homemade burgers we made for friends visit yesterday. So on today's menu is the paper version.

For this card I used:

- Cottage Cutz dies (Build-A-Burger, Windows Slimline),

- Distress Inks,

- white card base (10x21 cm),

- green card stock for background (9,5x21 cm) and die cuts,

- patterned paper for background (9x21 cm),

- white card stock for die cuts,

- white paper for printing,

- printer,

- adhesive foam pads,

- paper glue.

First I cut and colored the burger and the fries.

Next I cut background paper and the windows. I cut for windows pieces, one from dark green cardstock and three from white. I wanted to give the windows more dimension. I also left two cut rectangles to glue inside of two windows.

Then I printed the sentiment and cut it out with the banner die. I also cut one in green.

When all the pieces were ready I glued the card together. I used adhesive foam pads to glue the banner in the middle window. And my card was done.

That's all form me for today. Have a nice Sunday and see you again on next week.

Anja Z.

Super Size Birthday

Happy Fry-day!  It's Jeanne with a quick birthday card.  I have several nephews who are of "that age" - too old for kid cards but young enough that you want a fun, lighthearted card.  This one is perfect for those guys (and girls too!)  I don't know one young man who doesn't love food and this Build-a-Burger die from the new Circus release is perfect for them!

The card is simple to create.  I cut the food pieces from white cardstock and used Distress Oxide ink in several colors to shade them.  I found I needed a few shades of yellow and brown for the bun and a couple of shades of brown for the burger patty.  (My burger here leaves off the ketchup and pickles because I don't like those on mine - LOL!) I wanted the fry box to be solid so I cut that from red and yellow cardstock.

Next, I cut a red A2 card base, a red striped panel 4 1/8 x 5 3/8 inches, a yellow strip 2 x 5 1/2 inches and a white circle using the second largest of the Stitched Scallop Circle dies.
I adhered the striped panel to the card base, then I stamped my sentiment on the bottom of the yellow strip and glued it 1/2 inch from the left edge of the card.

The fries and burger are glued onto the circle....

and I used foam tape to pop that up from the front.  This card goes together very quickly and is super cute!  I'll be sending this to one of my nephews whose birthday is at the end of the month.

I hope you enjoyed my card today!  Be sure to visit the online store where the new Circus release is on sale for a limited time!

We Make a Great Combo!

Hello!  This is Sukie and today I have a super fun card to share!  There's another new die release in the store with some spectacular Circus themed sets.  They are perfect for all types of occasions!  I'm showcasing a couple of the new die sets on my card!

I used colored card stock for my die cuts from the Build-A-Burger and Circus Snacks die sets.  The die cuts were inked on the edges for added dimension.  I printed out the sentiment on my computer and used the Nested Wacky Stitched Oval to cut it out.
The adorable paper for my card base is from the DCWV Good Eats stack and it was layered on a red background.  The paper coordinated perfectly with my die cuts.
Next, I affixed the die cut oval on my card base leaving enough of the patterned paper peaking though on all sides.
The giant burger was placed on my card first which fit nicely between the sentiment and the edge of the oval die cut.
The box of fries was adhered next to the burger toward the upper edge of the oval.
The hot dog came next and fit perfectly in the empty space directly above the sentiment.
This yummy card will be perfect for Valentine's, an anniversary or just because to celebrate that special someone.
Here are the die sets used on my card, available in the store
