Easter Egg Hunt

Dear Scrapping Cottage Friends,

It is Pam creating with you today on the Thursday Blog!

It is just a few days before Easter and I just wanted to wish all of you a very blessed day on this special holiday.  I made this one last Easter card to celebrate!  I combined 3 of the Spring Release dies and I just love how it turned out.
Design Steps:
 1.  I decide to use a fun card design for these dies.  I used an A2 white card base and then I cut the front fold in half.  I cut a piece of checked green DP just slightly smaller then the half front fold.  Then cut a piece of pink DP slightly smaller then the green DP.
2.  Glue the front flap pieces to the white card base.  Then on the inside cut a piece of pink DP slightly smaller then the inside white card base and then a piece of green DP slightly smaller then the pink DP.  Then glue to the inside of the card
 3.  Using the Easter Egg Hunt die cut out all of the pieces in a variety of colors
4.  Using a variety of ink colors shade the pieces and then assemble with a fine tip glue.  I used tiny black rhinestones for the eyes
 5.  Cut dark green card stock using the Spring Grass die.  Glue the grass to the bottom of the front flap and the bottom of the inside.  Next glue the sign to the front and the bunnies to the inside as shown

6.  I decided to add some clouds and sun to the card so I cut the pieces out using the Spring Frogs die.    I also thought it would be fun to add some Easter Eggs so I cut out a variety of colored eggs using the Basket of Eggs die.  Glue the pieces as shown and your card is complete

My favorite Easter memory is when my mom dressed us up in our fluffy Easter Dresses and off we went to church to celebrate the Resurrection of our Lord.  I hope you are making special memories too!!  HAPPY EASTER!!

Hoppy Easter!

Hi!

It's Anja here. It's the last Sunday before Easter so I made an Easter themed card for today's post.

For this card I used:
- Cottage Cutz dies (Spring Buddies, Basket of Eggs, Spring Meadow),
- Distress Inks,
- white card base (10x21 cm),
- white card stock for die cuts and background (8x12 cm),
- patterned paper (9,8x20,8 cm),
- black pen,
- white pen,
- plastic stencil (clouds),
- printer,
- paper trimmer,
- paper glue.

First I cut and colored the bunny and the chicks.

Next I cut and colored the basket, eggs and meadow.

Then I trimmed the paper.

I used a plastic stencil to color the clouds on the white background paper.

And last I printed and trimmed the sentiment.

And when I had all the pieces I glued the card together.

I wish you all a pleasant Sunday. Stay safe and healthy and see you again next week.

Anja Z.

Basket Of Eggs

Hello Scrapping Cottage friends! Thanks for taking the time to stop and visit with us today. It's Mary Marsh here bringing you the Saturday day edition of the Blog.

The new release of Spring dies are available in the online store and 25% off for a limited time. There are 27 new dies in the release and each one is cuter than the next. They are perfect for your Easter and Spring card making.

Today, I am featuring the new Basket of Eggs die to create an Easter card. So let's get started on some details of how I created my card.

Design Steps:
I started my card this week with the card colors. Jeanne was hosting a color challenge on Splitcoaststampers, and her choices of daffodil delight (yellow), calypso coral and seaside spray (light blue) worked well for an Easter card.
She also had an optional to use Washi Tape on our card. I just happen to have some wide washi tape in these colors, and I used it for my card background. This tape is 2 3/8" wide so it gives nice background coverage.

I cut the basket of eggs in the challenge colors and used some designer paper cut with the 4th largest Stitched Circle die as the backdrop.
I decided to stamp some splatters down the right side of my card in the coral color and added yellow ribbon to the left side for added interest. The Easter phrase is from the Bunny Kisses  & Easter Wishes die. I cut it 3x for more depth in coral cardstock.
Yellow Card Base: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
Image Panel" 3 7/8" x 5 1/8"

To complete the card, I scattered a few coral enamel dots. Well, that's it for me for this week. I hope I have given you a new idea for using this lovely Easter die. See you next Saturday!

DT Samples- Spring Day 3

Hello Scrapping Cottage friends! Happy Wednesday to you! Thanks for taking the time to stop and visit today. We are sampling DT cards using dies from the new Spring dies release.

They are in the online store and 25% off for a limited time. There are 27 new dies in the release and each one is cuter than the next. They will be perfect for your Easter and Spring card making. We thought you might like to have some new and creative ideas for your Easter or Spring cards using these new dies. So let's get started with some details on the cards for today.

Card 1:  Our first sample for today is from Sukie Dhillon. She used the new Basket of Eggs die to create this ever so sweet card that doesn't necessarily have to be used for Easter. With the sentiment she used, it could be a birthday card or get well wishes or even thinking of you.

Some inking on the card elements gives off a rustic flair.  Her use of the Stitched Rectangle die frames the Easter basket nicely and sets it as the focal point of this card.  The hand cut, half circle is the perfect back drop for this card.
The patterns and colors compliment the Easter basket creating the perfect layout for displaying the Basket of Eggs.

Card 2:  Our next sample for today is one that I (Mary Marsh) created using the new Springtime Pals die. The horse, die and fence made creating an outdoor spring time scene so easy.

All I needed to do was add a background. I used some light blue designer paper and added clouds and tulips to complete the scene. The Easter phrase on the fence is from the older Bunny Kisses & Easter Wishes die.

Well, that's our samples for today. I hope the team has given you some fresh ideas on ways to use these new Spring dies. We will be back again tomorrow with more samples from the team. And, if you are thinking of getting any of these new dies, they are on sale for a limited time in the online store.
