Well, it's just 3 days until Christmas. I hope all your decorating, wrapping, baking and Christmas card making is all complete. I have some baking to do yet and that will finish everything for me.
I do have a Christmas card for your viewing pleasure today though. I am using the Journey to Bethlehem die. It's a die that represents the true meaning of Christmas. So I created a very simple card today.
Step 1: I just bought this flocked metallic paper, and I thought it would be perfect as the background for this image. I had a hard time getting a good photo of the copper metallic. But IRL it has a beautiful copper sheen.
The metallic on the paper is copper so I cut the image from copper foil cardstock.
For my card base I decided to use a shade called crumb cake (light kraft color). It seemed to blend well with the copper.
Card Base: 3 3/4" x 5 3/8"
Designer Paper: 3 3/8" x 5"
I assembled card using a combination of double sided tape, glue dots and mounting tape. The mounting tape was used to lift the image off the card base.
I stamped a sentiment on the inside of the card and added a few copper stars.
That's it for me for this Saturday. Merry Christmas everyone!

Lovely card! The card stock you used is so elegant! I absolutely love the "cover plate" style dies for cards and this one is no exception, so pretty!
