Happy Easter

Hello CottageCutz friends! Thanks for taking the time to stop and visit with us today. It's Mary Marsh here bringing you the Friday edition of the Blog.

IT'S NEW RELEASE TIME! The Spring Release with 20 new designs is in the online store. The individual dies are currently at 30% off. There is a nice combination of both religious and whimsical designs. So perfect for all card makers out there.

And the dies don't have to be used strictly for Spring or Easter. The team has done Valentine, Birthday and Thinking of You cards with these new dies. Take a look back on the Blog for lots of ideas.

And because it's President's Day weekend, we have a sale going on with up to 60% off selected dies. So, check out the store early for best selections.

Today, I have for your viewing pleasure a card for Easter featuring the new Spring Window w/Peekers (30% off) using just the bunny image and also an older die Fresh Spring Floral. You can pick up this older die for 50% off.

I cut the wreath in a soft green shade of cardstock. I decorated it with eggs using the new Spring Chickee in Basket die. Cut the little bunny in a gray cardstock and stamped my Easter sentiment and framed it with the Pierced Wide Rectangle die.

Looks like that one isn't available any longer, but you can easily make a frame with the Pierced Rectangle or Stitched Rectangle die. Simply cut a piece of cardstock 3 3/4" by 4 3/4" and use the largest of either of these dies.  Center the die on your cardstock and run through your die cutting machine. It will make a nice frame for you.

That's my sample for today. See you tomorrow with another Easter card idea.

Spring bunny on a flower swing

Hi Janja here. Welcome to the blog today. I have another spring card for you.

- CottageCutz dies: Springtime Pals, Spring Blooms, Fresh Spring Floral
- blank card: 4 9/16 x 4 9/16" (11,7 x 11,7 cm), folded
- patterned paper: 4 1/4 x 4 1/4" (10,8 x 10,8 cm)
- colored cardstock
- colored ink pads
- glue, double-sided adhesive tape, self-adhesive foam pads

I cut a bunny out of colored cardstock, and two narrow strips.
Today is an opportunity to use different scraps of paper.

Then I cut out some greenery and flowers. I cut the green wreath in half with scissors. I got the garland that will be the base of my swing.
I colored most pieces with colored pads around the edges.

When I prepared the card base and trimmed the background paper, I started assembling my card.
First, I attached the background to the card front with double-sided adhesive tape.

I glued the garland to the background and then gradually added greenery and flowers.
Finally, I attached the bunny with self-adhesive foam pads.

Here is a close up picture.

Thank you for stopping here today.

Floral Corners

Hi, Janja is here with you.
For today's blog post, I prepared a simple birthday card with roses.
I placed roses on the opposite corners of the central layer.

- CottageCutz dies: Little Princess & Roses, Fresh Spring Floral, Cross-Stitched Square Set, Nested Stitched Scallop Square Set
- white card base: 4.6 x 4.6” (11,7 x 11,7 cm), folded
- colored cardstock
- colored ink pads
- white foam
- glue, double-sided adhesive tape

First we cut out the wreath and roses.

Cut a white square with the largest die from the set. Create a background with a spray or use a stamp.
Stamp a sentiment.

Cut the wreath into four parts with scissors. Paste them into the background with glue.

Now place the roses as in the photo.

Prepare a white card base. Cut two squares. Use a foam and a pink cardstock.

Assemble the card.

Have a nice day.

Easter Cross

Hi!

It's Anja here. Today I made a card that can be used as an Easter card. I have this cross die for quite some time and I've been waiting to use it. So today I decorated it with spray colors and some spring flowers.

For this card I used:
- Cottage Cutz dies (Ornate Cross, Hedgehogs in Love, Iron Stand w/ Plants, Fresh Spring Floral),
- color sprays (green, pink, gold, orange),
- white card base (15x15 cm),
- watercolor paper for background (14x14 cm),
- white card stock for die cuts,
-  white foam sheet,
- paper embossing tools and surface,
- Nuvo Crystal Drops (pink, yellow),
- paper distresser,
- heat gun,
- paper glue.

First I cut the paper for background and the cross. I colored it all t once by spraying both with gold color.

Next I added green and a few drops of pink. I used heat gun to dry it.

Then I sprayed paper with green and orange. Dried the paper and then cut the flowers and the greenery.

I did colored another piece of paper using pink.

I used embossing tools to add some dimension to the flowers and leaves.

Next I cut another cross, this time using foam.

I used paper distresser for the edges of the background and card base.

When I had everything clued on the base I added Crystal Drops to the flowers. And my card was finished.

That's all from me for today. I wish you all a nice Sunday.

Anja Z.
