Merry Christmas

Happy Sunday everyone!

Kathy with you and today I have a couple of Christmas projects to show you!  The first is a very simple card I made for MY Christmas Cards this year!  I wanted something elegant and simple...this is what I came up with!

I just love the white and red combination on this showing the beautiful Elegant Flurry Snowflake Die cut.  Very easy card to put together!  I used a red card base and a white mat partially embossed with a snowflake die.  I stamped a sentiment on the bottom, wrapped some red ribbon around the mat, then added the snowflake and a bow!

My second project is a gift card holder I made using the Fancy Envelope Die, my new FAVORITE die!  It's perfect as a gift card holder, I love it!  I know I'll be using this one a lot!

To make the holder, I cut the envelope with white cardstock and again with some Christmas designer paper (Botanical Noel by Recollections).  I trimmed the designer paper piece to cover the flap and another piece for the back (taken from the inside of the pocket).

The Poinsettia Spray was cut with various cardstock scraps that were shaped and slightly inked.  I also cut a bow with red cardstock using the Homemade Christmas Gift Set and added a button with a twine bow.   I also cut an additional poinsettia flower to decorate the flap with a couple of leaves.

These are the dies I used:

Chalkboard style

 Hi, all! Vladka is here!

This time I have two cards with chalkboard style  for you. I love this style and I´ve used it before, but I wanted to try it also with CottageCutz dies. I combined different dies from different releases: Christmas, Harvest and from the last Winter release which is so playful. Here are both cards:
First one is combination of Wreath, Mittens, Winterland Holly and Bow dies. First two are cut out from black cardstock and embossed with white powder. Winterland Holly and Bow are coloured with Distress Inks.
Second one is combined from Snowflake, Ice Skates and Poinsettia dies. Also here are Snowflake and Ice Skates cut out from black cardstock and embossed with white powder and Poinsettia is coloured with different Distress Inks.
Holidays approaching very fast and I have so much to do till then. I have to hurry up.
But I still have time to wish you great day and don´t forget to have fun!

Dear Santa

Happy Wednesday everyone!

Kathy with you and today I have a card using the Homemade Christmas Gift Set and Elegant Flurry Snowflake Die.  This time I'm using the deer die cut from the gift set for my main image...so cute!

Also from the set, I included one of the bows and "Dear Santa" die cuts using red cardstock and one of the setiment stamps. On the top left corner, is a little piece of the Elegant Flurry Snowflake Die from the Winter Wonderland Release cut with white cardstock...what a stunning die this is!

Here's a little close up of the deer scene for you.

To make my card, I cut the deer die with white, green, grey, kraft, and red using little pieces/scraps. The deer and wood post are made with kraft cardstock and shaded with Jumbo Java Ink. I added the hooves with black cardstock and used a black marker for the eyes and spots. The mailbox is grey cardstock shaded with black ink and a red flag. The wreath is green and red cardstock dotted with a white gel pen. The letter and snow are white cardstock shaded with Iced Blue Ink and a red stamp for the letter.

This cute little scene is popped on a blue Christmas designer paper piece that is stamped with the sentiment using black ink. I glue this piece on a white mat embossed with a snowflake folder and popped it all on a red cardbase. To finish the card, I added a bow and "Dear Santa" die cut both in red.

Here are the dies I used for this.
