Floral Tag with Anita Kejriwal

Hello friends !!!

Happy Saturday!! I am really amazed to see how time flies. It's the last week of the month and almost half the year is gone. Sometimes, I want to hold on to time and go on creating the best of my projects. But as it's said that we must go on doing our work, I too forget everything when it comes to crafting !!! How many hours do you craft everyday ? Just a question !!!! I try to spend every waking minute in my craft room.

So let me show you what I have for you today. By now, everyone knows about my passion for flower making . With so many beautiful 3D flower dies from CottageCutz, I want to give shape to a variety of flowers using these dies. I have made sweet roses this time using the CottageCutz 3D flower #5
along with the new release die from This and That Collection-Butterfly tag
Its all about gardens and spring.
So do have a look and follow the photo tutorial below to see how I made this tag.

Dies used for making the tag

CottageCutz Butterfly tag
CottageCutz 3D flower # 5
CottageCutz greenery die

I have cut all the die cuts in white 160 gsm card stock

Distress the tags with Distress inks

Cut a corrugated piece which is 1/4 inch bigger than the tag on all sides and paint it black.

I added some design with stencils on one of the tag.

Cut out the butterfly from one of the tag that has no stencil design and apply Glossy Accents. Then sprinkle some glitter. Let it dry.

Add colours to flowers and leaves using  Distress inks.

To make the rose, choose 5 large flowers and cup on the opposite side.

Roll one petal like a cone and secure with adhesive.

Bring the rest of the petals together like this.

Add another layer bring the petals together.

Add all five layers as shown and curl the petals outwards with a tweezer,

The rose is ready.

Stick the two tags together with the butterfly one on top. Adhere the glitter butterfly on the tag below as shown. Arrange the flowers as shown.

May all your Wishes come true! card

Hi there and welcome to CottageCutz Blog.

I love making handmade greeting cards and today I'm showing you my new card I created with beautiful dies.

Today I have a new card using die images from a new Summer 2015 release and an older. I used "Clown Fish", "Greenery" and "Vine" dies.

To make card, start by cutting orange and white card stock using the "Clown Fish" die. So, we have orange and white fishes. Don't trough away white pieces from cutting, we need these pieces late.
Adhere the orange fishes on black piece of card stock. One fish is normal way to adhere, the other one is reverse side. After all, place white pieces of fish in missing spots on orange fish. You can see details if you click on image.
Then, cut fishes around with scissors. We have beautiful Clown fishes with orange, white and black colors. Add clear shimmer on fishes for sparkling.

The next step is seaweed. Start by cutting green card stock using the Vine and Greenery dies.

To create a background, cut white cardstock using Circle die template and sponge ocean green, yellow and blue craft inks. Make the center area a bit lighter then edges by sponging yellow ink, then green and around circle with lt.blue craft inks. Next, stamp seaweed and corals using Md.brown ink.

The next step is putting all cut pieces to ocean circle using foam tape and craft glue.

Prepare a 3 3/4 by 5 1/2 inch white card base. Layer the ocean background with Tiny Bubbles embossed card stock and adhere to the card base with craft glue.

The final step, stamp sentiment in the bottom of card base using orange craft ink. You can use different sentiment, but I like this on. Embellish card with Clear Dew Drops and self adhesive small pearls.

For this project I used:

 Card Supplies:

CottageCutz dies: "Clown fish", "Greenery" and "Vine",
Card stock: white, black, green and orange,
Inks: yellow, lt.green and lt.blue,
Stamps: Seaweed, Coral and sentiment,
Other: Tiny Bubbles embossing folder,  scissors, paper trimmer, scor-buddy, foam tape, Clear Dew Drops and self adhesive white pearls.

Ornate Door

Hello, Vladka here again! I hope you are having good time!
This 'N That release is really so various, that can be use for all different paper projects. I know we are still far away from Christmas, but this beautiful door associated me on this time of the year. It was a time, when I love to create and cut furniture from paper and put them on cards. I was using just my scissors for that. But with new This 'N That release and Ornate Door die everything is easier. I completed my card with some greenery and hanging heart
It is really interesting how I didn't want to use hearts on my projects before, but now they are almost on all my cards, tags... That is the proof how we are changing.

I wish you wonderful day!

Two cards for Holy Confirmation

Hey, Vladka here. This time in more gentle tone :)

This is the perfect timing to make some cards for Holy Confirmation and sentiment means in Slovenian language exactly that . I always like to use pigeon as a symbol of Holy Spirit and these two cards are no exception. I didn't use a lot of colours on purpose, because I wanted clean and gentle cards for this occasion. For both cards I also made bookmarks in the same style as little additional touch for both projects.
I made little "Bible" from three layers of paper and top layer is also stamped with text. Branch and pigeon, made with Whimsy Bird & Cage die, gives to the card some freshness and colours.
The second card is more typical for Confirmation. Here I added Ornate Cross die and put pigeon together with Greenery on it.
I combined different dies for these two projects and here they are. Click on the picture will link you to the store

Have a great day!
