Angel Nativity Ornament Christmas Card

Happy ThursDIE Cottage Cutz Friends!
Melinda here with you on this Thursday. Today I am sharing my second Christmas card of the season. It features dies from the FABULOUS Cottage Cutz Christmas releases!

Here's a look my finished card.  It is a bit larger than I normally do. It is 5x7. I used the new Angel Nativity Ornament die and the Christmas Greenery die.

I started with a white 5x7 White base. I then used some Kraft paper and ran it through my crimper. I then tore the edges and then swiped some white paint on it.

Next I die cut the pretty Angel Nativity Ornament die several times in white cardstock. I then colored the top layer with my Copper metallic sharpie. I layered them on top of each other to give it some dimension.

Next I cut out several of the Christmas greenery. I cut them all in Kraft cardstock. I then proceeded to color them in dark brown shades and also in white. Some I left as Kraft color.
Here's a closer look at the pretty ornament. I added a bow of brown glitter to the top.

Here's a closer look at the layers of foliage. I did also use my gold inkpad to brush some gold onto the background. I also added a layer of patterned paper to the base to finish the look.

Here is one final look at my completed card.

Don't forget to head over to the CottageCutz YouTube channel and check out all of the amazing projects on there. Our video team is doing a wonderful job of filling the channel with all sorts of creative content! You don't want to miss it!

A Filigree Christmas

Hello everyone Cheryl here with a CottageCutz Christmas card. For my care I wanted to use CottageCutz Holiday Sleigh and Filigree Reindeer together, and they sure look perfect together!!!

As you can see I cut the Sleigh the opposite way by laying my Glitter Paper facing up. So I laid the CottageCutz die facing up, then my Glitter Paper facing up, and when you flip your sleigh over to see your glitter paper you will have it going this way :)

Next I airbrushed the outside of the sleigh to give it some distressing. You can do this with ink pads too, or with dusting.
My CottageCutz Filigree Reindeer is Dusted with Tim holtz ink and a duster. I then added the same glitter card stock and airbrushed it.

The CottageCutz Mistletoe & Holly is colored with copics. Lastly I added some Ribbon , pearls, and sewing to complete my card.

I hope you all have a Very Merry Christmas!!!
Hugs to all,
Cheryl

CottageCutz /Christmas

Greetings Friends!  It's Carol today with a new creation from CottageCutz dies.
My card is made with the Fall Vine with Bird Die.  What you don't think this looks like a fall card?  Well, you are right.  I wanted to show you that this die could be used for Christmas and probably and season depending on what you use to compliment the image.  Isn't it cute.
I used Recollection Glittered paper.  Now, I do want to mention  that when you do cut with that type of thicker paper to use your Grand Calibur machine to cut this out.  You get a nice even pressure on your die which makes this cut out nicely.  I used my Martha Stewart craft knife to press the die out.  Easy peasy.
So whether you use this for a Fall card or a Christmas card you are sure to enjoy the beautiful creation you can make with it.
Thanks for stopping by today.  I really appreciate it.   Have a great day!
