Happy Birthday Crocodile Card

Happy Terrific TuesDIE Scrapping Cottage friends!
Melinda here with you for another fun Tuesday. My project today features some dies from the fabulous new Australian Friends Die Release!!! Here is what I created.

This super cute scalloped stitched rectangle shaped birthday card featuring that Croc-o-licious Croc from the new release! She is too cute!

To Make The Card Base

You start with two cuts of the same die. For this one I used the largest die from the scallop stitched rectangle die set. I cut them out of some craft cardstock.

Next, I scored a crease 1/2" from one edge.

I added a mat to the one that would be on the top. Here you can see where the crease is on the one.

Next you put adhesive just on the top 1/2" of the scored mat. Then you line them up, one right on top of the other and adhere them together.

Once adhered, this is what it looks like when opened from the side view.

You can then decorate the interior just making allowance for the portion of the top that is used for the fold. Doing it this way allows for a fold without creasing the top mat.

Next, I used the largest die from the scallop circle set and cut it out of some pink cardstock. I added a couple of mats. In this shot I had a different piece of patterned paper. I ultimately changed it out as it blended to much to miss croc...in my humble opinion...lol.

Here she is all ready for her close up! What an adorable die! I of course cut her out in white and then colored her in. My favorite thing to do. She is just too stinkin' cute with those little teeth and that flower!!!!

For the sentiment, I used the Shadow Happy Birthday Die. I added a dot of Star Dust Stickles for the Dot in the "i".

I also layered in the cute little palm tree from the Australian Trees die from the new release. I added some more Stardust Stickles and some Cinnamon to kind of resemble some coconuts.

Here a couple more shots.

I think it turned out super cute. This is such a fun way to add a little "shape" to your cards without really any effort at all! You can try it with your oval, circle, heart and other fun shaped dies!

Here is the fantastic new collection

Happy Hello

Hello Scrapping Cottage Friends

It is Pam on the blog this fine Monday Morning!! I hope you had a wonderful 4th of July celebration.

We have a HUGE SLIMLINE DIE RELEASE with 20 fantastic dies.  You can get the entire collection for a whopping 58% off right now or if you wish a single die at 25% off!  The new designs are just so amazing.  They are sure to put your imagination into overdrive!!  Check them out right HERE.

I have used one of the new dies on this card.  It is called Circle Window Slimline.

I used a white card base and cut the die piece out in white using the Circle Windows Slimline.  Because I really wanted the little roosters to stand out.  The roosters where cut out using the Country Farm Rooster from our last release.  I cut 3 of them out and glued them to each window.

After I glue them to the windows I used dimensional tape to attach the die cut panel to the card base.  I then cut out the Happy Hello 2 times using the Happy Expressions die and the Hello Expressions die.  I glued them together and then glued them to the card front

Birthday Clown

Hello Friends

Today,  I am continuing to make my 2021 cards.  And I wanted to do a shaker so I decided to use the happy little clown with the handful of balloons to create a fun birthday card.

Design Steps:
1.  Use a white A2 card base cut a piece of white card stock 4 x 5 1/4 and then use the second from the largest Scallop Circle die to cut out the opening for the shaker.  After cutting out the hole run it through a star embossing folder.  Line the hole with double sided tape and then place a 4 x 4 piece of acetate on the tape
2.  Circle the hole with double sided foam tape add the sequins and little stars.  Add additional foam around the bottom of the card also
3.  Cut another piece of white card stock 4 x 5 /4 and place it directly over the piece with the shaker window and then mount it to the card base
4.  Use the Clown with the Balloons die and cut out the pieces in red, blue, green, yellow, tan, white and orange card stock
5.  Using a fine tip glue and tweezers assemble the little clown with his balloons
5.  Using Happy Birthday Expressions cut out Happy Birthday twice and glue together.  Then adhere the sentiment to the front of the card
6.  Pop up the clown to the card front and the Birthday card is complete

By the Sea!

Hello My Scrapping Cottage Friends!

It is Pam on the blog with you this awesome Thursday!

Today,  I have a beautiful lighthouse scene to share!  This lighthouse looks exactly like the one on Hilton Head Island in South Carolina.  If you watch the Heritage Golf Tournament you will get a glimpse of it!

Background Photo by Philipp Deus on Unsplash
Designer Steps:
 1.  Use the Lighthouse die and cut out your pieces: Rust, red, white, brown, and teal blue card stock
2.  Shade your pieces using a variety of Tim Holtz inks and a small applicator.  Next assemble the pieces using a fine tip, fast drying glue

 3.  For the base use a piece of white A2 card stock.  Cut out a white frame using the largest Stitched Wide Rectangle Frame die.  Next use the largest Pierced Rectangle die and cut on white card stock.  Place the third from the largest Pierced Oval die in the center of the pierced rectangle piece cut out the oval. Using the same oval die cut out a piece of cloud DP

4.  Glue the white frame directly to the A2 white card front making sure to center it.  Next put dimensional tape on the back of the white pierced retangle piece with the oval cut out.  And tape it to the middle of the frame as shown.  Put glue on the back of the DP cloud piece and push it down into the middle of the oval
5.  Glue down the hill behind the oval frame and slide in the lighthouse behind the hill.  Pop up the little house and then glue down the water.  Next on black card stock cut out two Happys using the Expressions Happy die.  Glue together and then glue on card as shown.  Stamp birthday and layer on red then glue to card as shown
